Millennia Convert Your HDFC Millennia Credit Card to Rupay Network by just a phone call

2025

TF Legend
Hi Friends,

Inspired by @prateekm03 and his post here https://www.technofino.in/community/profile-posts/10003/ today, I have called HDFC customer care (📞 1800 1600) and successfully raised a request for conversion of my Mastercard Millennia Credit Card to Rupay Millennia Credit Card. No questions will be asked. Take max. 5 minutes.

This is what I was informed by the phone banking executive.
1. All features and benefits will remain same.
2. LTF cards will remain LTF.
3. Request will be processed in maximum 10 days.
4. Rewards points/ cashback (accrued and upcoming) will be transferred to the new card.
5. Running balance Statement will also be transferred.
6. Card will be delivered to my address and the old card will be deactivated.

Things that I did not asked, but expecting...
1. It will work on UPI and give benefits of 5% at preferred merchants and 1% in other eligible cases. Will update later.

Why I did this?
1. India first. Reducing the fund outflow from India, particularly to arrogant US.
2. Rupay hai toh jindegi hai.
3. Easy to use UPI cards using scan and pay features. Plus 1% upto 1000 cashback monthly.
4. My TNI card only giving 0.5% outside the TNI app. So a better choice.
5. Automatically extended the validity of the card.
6. Some secret hacks. Won't disclose even in DM.
7. I have never got any limit upgrade from HDFC so hoping this change will bring something new for me.
8. Additionally, this card has milestone benefits 1k for quarterly 1L spends. So, yes 2.0% UPI achievable.

Updates:
1. Received the confirmation about raising the request immediately.
2. Card generated on next working day (11-Aug-2025) evening around 7:30 pm.
Balance transferred.
3. Add on applied on 12-Aug, generated same day.
4. Primary card received on 14-Aug. Added to upi app.

Can you DM me the email you have sent to CC
ya, already someone comment here -

I have not got LE in 3 years. I don't think it is a yearly thing
I have also never got any (auto) LE in last 3 years.

Truth is nobody (excluding one card) gave me LE in last one year. I have card from 9 different banks.

In last two/three years this is my (auto) LE history.

SBI- once
ICICI - Once
Axis - Never (limit updated while applying new card in initial 4 months)
HDFC - Never (once mannual increase in first 6 months during card upgrade)
One Card (BoB) - Thrice
AU- Never

(Remaining are less than one year old card).

HDFC gives auto limit increase but nobody exactly knows what it's criteria really is.
My friend got his limit hdfc increased 50k to 2.25 lakh. For this whooping limit increase he credit it to lots of EMI purchases and he was having bank account of hdfc too..

Some people say spend more to get auto LE while some say to completely ghost the card.

I have 85k limit which is enough for me. Never wanted LE and I don't care for CIBIL. Whenever I need I pay and use it. I have used 66k this month only..

But didn't more than 30 % usage will effect cibil score ?

I have said na I don't care about CIBIL...

Do you currently have the Millennia Visa and Freedom Card, right?

Has an upgrade offer come for the Freedom Card to Millennia RuPay?

If yes, then you can hold two Millennia cards — one RuPay and one Visa.

2) For Scan and UPI transactions — you get 1% cashback, plus an extra 1% if you count the quarterly milestone benefit (so a total of 2% cashback).

3) You can use any app, bro — the Scan & Pay cashback rate is the same.

Online UPI transaction you will get 5% Cashback via UPI on Preferred merchants like Amazon, Flipkart etc.

Other Online UPI merchant - 1% cashback + Milestone 1% cb.

If you use Amazon Gold Rewards for Amazon shopping, you get an extra 5% cashback from Amazon + 5% from the Millennia card.
