Converting Visa to Rupay Card

I am using SBI IRCTC card in Visa Platform. How to convert it to Rupay platform.

Did you try calling their Helpdesk? Just place a request and see if it works.

Call to the customer care and place a request, they would help.

thanks for the replies. I placed the reqeust for call back 3 times. First 2 times, the reply was close existing card apply for new one RuPay platfrom. Last week during the call back (via Twitter I registered requst) they assured to look at the reqeust. But no reply yet

Call back request doesn't work well. so better try to get connected to the customer care and speak to them properly.

Hi, spoke with SBI cards customer care, and they confirmed that change of platform is not allowed. Asked me close the exisiting Visa IRCTC card and reapply mentioning RuPay card.

Earlier my friend changed to Rupay card asking customer care. There might be change of rules or try again with some other executive. Earlier ICICI also denied 3 times for me on the customer care department, later they approved for me after escalating it on twitter.

Call sbi customer care and request card flip to irctc rupay and never tell the to convert use the word flip. Hope this helps.

SBI customer service is worst, most of the time the agents wont even understand what the issue is. even after explaining multiple times.

Place a request for card closure, you will get a call from retention team. Ask them you want to move to Rupay network, either they will take a request or they will close the card. If its later you can apply again for the Rupay variant.

Exactly same thing happen. Called them 3 times and all of them are like you said. Escalated to Nodel, got call back. they not even not understood the request.

ICICI expected to go live on Rupay by June 2023. Axis might happen soon as article on Business standard.

When you closed it did the retention team offer you Ltf?

The retention team told that there is no option for them to convert the platforms either you
keep and apply for new card or
close and apply for new card

I chose to close.. Let me see after some 10 days to apply again..

Wait till 3 months at least
Unnecessarily cibil hit will be happening, aur card will get rejected
