Credit card application in federal bank

I have applied for credit card in federal bank. They send a man to verify my address. Is this normal for a bank to send someone for address verification for credit card?

It’s very normal, it was a regular procedure earlier but recently banks started issuing credit cards like mad man for some time, so they didn’t send anybody for verification. It’s actually Bank’s QC team or underwriter decision to send person for verification. If they find something fishy, they go for it.
