Credit Card CIBIL Reporting Date

At first, I thought the same but the thing is SBI reports the Total Outstanding Balance as on the Statement (Bill Generated) to the CIBIL after 23 days of Bill Generation i.e. Due Date (which is 20 days from Bill Generation) + 3 days.

Let's say
Bill Generation Date: 1st of Every Month
Due Date: 21st of Every Month
CIBIL Reporting Date: 24th of Every Month (outstanding amount as of Generated Bill on 1st).

The customer care person also said that if anyone defaults or is not paid the Min Due Amount will be reported after 3 days from the Due Date.
Thanks for detailed explanation, I can confirm this. My bill generation date is 3rd of every month while SBI reports to CIBIL on 26th.

Does HDFC report to cibil billed amount or total outstanding at month end? My billing date is 15th. If i dont pay the bill till month end and do some more transactions after billing date, will they report only the billed amount or total outstanding at month end to cibil? I want to increase reported limit shown in cibil by hdfc

Many users confirmed that HDFC will report total outstanding at month end. I too maxed out my card this month for the same reason.

Best to do it in the same month of card issuance or else it will negatively impact cibil if we do later

Can someone suggest some item to buy from Amazon around 1.5 lakh which is cancellable and delivery time around 1 week

So i should place the order on 29th or 30th of this month. Hdfc reports to cibil on 30th or 31st?

Settlement will be T+1 or T+2 days. HDFC reports at month end (whichever date). So, making transaction before 3 days of reporting date will be safe. Only proceed if your item has cancellation and refund policy. Also, beware of the risk involving with such a huge transaction. You have been warned.

Hdfc reports unbilled amount also to cibil. So what if i place order on 31st only. All the items from Amazon prime fulfilled are cancellable if im not wrong?

Unbilled amount for sure. I have no idea about unsettled amount reporting. Hence I suggested that timeline. I have never cancelled any product crossing even 10k, so have no idea. 😅

What's best for increasing cibil score paying bill before billing date i.e full oustanding or paying only bill due before bill due date?

Keep utilization low(For this you can pay some of the unbilled amount before cibil reporting dates of the cards).
Dont pay all, keep atleast a small amount for bill generation, so that number of bill payments increases.
Both of these will improve the score over the course of time.

As long as you pay your bills on time, score will be fine.
