Credit Card for offline grocery and department stores

rimtesh

TF Select
I hold these 3 cards that i primarily use for offline spends, most of my offline spends are covered by vouchers but there are still a lot of merchants where i use my card by swiping it
Axis Ace - flat 1.5%
Axis rewards(migrated from citi) - not sure but this card offers ~3% on dining and departmental
Sbi prime card - 2.5% because of accelerated reward points on categories like grocery and food

I am planning to close all these 3 cards and replace it with a better offline card
Cards that i hold currently
SBI : Cashback and prime (will close prime and get a downgraded variant for instant discounts)
Icici: amazon, platinum, rubyx and coral (will definitely get the platinum card closed but not sure about Amazon one because of cashback card)
Axis: Ace,rewards, and airtel (my utility bills are taken care of using airtel card, I don't see much use of ace card now)

Please help me restructure these cards and suggest any new card that can replace some of my useless cards

Well, if you want it for offline grocery, then the best card is HSBC Live+ card. It gives 10% Cashback for grocery shopping.

Isn't it only 1% now?
It's still 2% on paying for subscription at 999.

I'm not sure if the subscription is still available as FYF. Till yesterday it was FYF. Someone has to check the app, or reach out to kiwi on this.

MCCs for 10% cashback isn't mentioned anywhere, just wanted to be sure that it will cover the following MCC mentioned by sbi prime
Attaching MCC terms for live+, axis rewards and sbi prime.
It seems like it would be a wise decision to close axis rewards as the food and grocery spends will be covered by live+ and I don't need a card for apparels as i do most of the fashion shopping from Flipkart and Myntra

AU LIT + Activate either 5% milestone or 5% grocery or both !! [I think AU LIT is a great but very underrated card]
5% milestone for 3 months (max cb rs. 500) = 299+gst = 352.82/-
5% grocery for 3 months (max cb rs. 1000) = 299+gst = 352.82/-

If you activate only 5% milestone
spend max 10000 a month for 3 months (any category except fuel, rent, bbps, emi and cash) get 500 each month
i.e. spend spend 10,000/- each month for 3 months you'll get 1500 in 3 months cb - 352.82 fees = 1,147.18/- ==>
3.82% CASHBACK

If you activate only 5% grocery
spend max 20000 a month for 3 months only on grocery get 100 each month
i.e. spend spend 20,000/- each month for 3 months you'll get 3000 in 3 months cb - 352.82 fees = 2,647.18/- ==>
4.41% CASHBACK

if activated both you need to spend atleast 7056.4 to get back this fee, i.e. no reward on spends upto 7056.4
best is to spend 20,000/- max in a month for 3 month to get 1500 each month
i.e. spend spend 20,000/- each month for 3 months you'll get 4500 in 3 months cb - 705.64 fees = 3794/- ==> 6.32% CASHBACK

[ bonus : if lucky and you get wallet balance from AU, you'll save some amount on fees
(they sometime give some wallet balance to use on activating features) ]

My offline spends are upto 7-8k, considering this HSBC live will be a better card for me and don't want to deal with any sort of subscription that need manual intervention each month

Thanks for the suggestion

Just called the hsbc customer care and she confirmed that all MCCs except the movie one of sbi prime are eligible for 10% cashback
