Credit History Pull Query

Hi guys,

My MobileNo.1 is registered with my Bank1 and Bank2 - I use it for UPI on Gpay and PhonePe
I have Supercard registered on MobileNo.1 (supermoney on same number as well)

I was able to see both my CIBIL (gpay) and Experian (phonepe) scores

Recently I changed my Bank2 phone no. to MobileNo.2 and logged into my PhonePe with MobileNo.2 (MobileNo.2 = Bank2 + PhonePe)

Unfortunately now, I am NOT able to see my Experian score on phonepe even though I have provided my PAN.

Any solution to this? Credit history is supposed to be linked to PAN right? When I change back the number on phonepe to MobileNo.1, it generates the score. But not on MobileNo.2

A bigger concern: In near future if I apply for unsecured CC, if I use MobileNo.2, will it cause issue with Credit Enquiry?

MobileNo.2 is now my dedicated banking number.

I did not change Bank1 number yet because, Supermoney and Supercard are linked to MobileNo.1 and they dont have the option to change phone number on supercard. So I am using Bank1 + supermoney for supercard bill payment.

Edit: I dont know if CIBIL check in Gpay is also effected or not if I changed the phonenumber of Gpay.

It takes some time to get the credit report updated by banks. Once you have both numbers on credit report then it should work. Wait for some time. It varies from 15 days to 3 months.
Thanks for your reply
1. So in general even if I dont have any Credit Card with a bank, they submit a credit report?
2. My MobileNo.2 is not associated with any CreditCard. So if Bank2 (which is linked to MobNo.2) updates my credit report, will I then be able to see Experian credit history on phonepe that is originally linked to MobNo.1?

The problem is not with the credit report. Your second number messed up on phonepe. I remember someone on this forum had same situation with Mobikwik and they replied to login with old number even if that number was deactivated.

No Im not saying something is wrong with credit report, i am asking if banks send credit report to Credit bureaus even if I have not taken any credit from them?

Thats the issue right, even though I am logged into Phonepe with second number, I have provided PAN card details on the Credit score screen, even then its not fetching the score.

So basically you are saying that after banks send my credit report (which probably includes my second phone number as well), Phonepe will then be able to fetch my Experian score from the second number? Does it matter that I dont have any credit card or credit service active on the second phone number?

That is one of the solution. But unfortunately no credit so no credit report.

In your case Phonepe has tagged credit report fetch with your old number and it's not allowing fetching it from new number. Try contacting Phonepe and tell them to tag credit report pull to your new number. If that works it will solve your problem.

Thank you for the clarification! Does GPAY have same issue if you change number there?

I got my supercard in February 2025, today I checked CIBIL score on Gpay, it generated score of 758. I have made 2 payments so far (Feb bill and March bill).

I am thinking of waiting for another month and then applying for SBI CashBack. Several members have mentioned that its easier to get SBI CB as a first or second card.

Is 1 enquiry a month alright?

You can keep a gap of 3 months between two cards. But since you have only one credit card so it shouldn't matter much in your case if you apply now as long as your credit score is above 750.
