Could someone help me with which partner would charge the least amount of points? We are planning our holiday for 6 ( family) to Sirlanka.

Travel date would be 6th Of august and return would be Plus 7/8 days.

Any suggestions would be higly appreciated.

Depends on what cards you have and availability.

Avios, I agree, appears to be the best bet.

With Citi Prestige you can transfer at 4:1 to Avios partners (BA and QR).
(CP to Asia Miles is option at 15K miles each way, economy per pax + ~$50 taxes)

Else you’ll have to go the Atlas/Magnus/Reserve/Infinia routes at respective rates to Avios.
or
Accor to Iberia > Avios.

If you don’t have a ton of points or availability is an issue, you can consider paying cash (traveledge or smartbuy) to get ton-ish points, if rates work for you.

So, I have both Axis and Magnus. I do have a lot of points also in Axis for that matter.

I am getting it at Qatar, BA, and Lberia for 22000 point return. Not sure, about the taxes(lberia its only 15 euro) and availability.

As for booking with Smart buy and travel edge. First of all their prices are always on the higher side compared to other travel booking sites. Two, Magnus may devalue at any time so don't trust the axis. As for DCB, 3.33 percent plus 2500 ( for multiplier cap) it's not worth it.
