Why did you tell her that you have any other account? What i do is just go to the bank where i want to open bsbda and tell them i want to open a bsbda account and just tell them that i don't have any other saving account. If you don't have the saving account in the same bank then can't even find out if i any other or not. But maybe this trick is working because I'm very young. Sometimes bankers don't even ask for the pan card because bsbda is mostly portrayed as account for poor and poor people don't have pan card.

Although sometimes employees says that their bank don't have bsbda then i show them their own site.

I found this and variants on Bank sites as well for BSBDA, I figured there's something more damning to push them. Let's see if some of this works.

Cause they asked and I did not know the regulations and be stuck lying/ committing fraud. Apparently their assertion was false.

Yes, thats what I did but again, as they pushed on I had to tell, and now we know their claim was false.

Clearly, its something they lied to me about to deflect me. And several other things they said verbally. And I have no audio proof.
Hence, I'd like to approach this in WRITING from now on. Hence, asking for POLICY docs they cant DENY & DEFLECT from.

I might have to leverage something like that. Again, I shared how they deflected and claimed differently.

Ease of opening a BSBDA

I visited all the banks available in my city. Asking to open a zero balance account (BSBDA). To my surprise except idfc first bank all other banks denied having a zero balance account. Only when I threatened them to give me in writing or I'll have to involve RBI in this then they said yes there...

What if the Bank prefers to be non-committal (presumably in accordance with their policy), especially when only a BSBDA relationship is at stake ?!

ICICI chose this course when I had asked them in writing for their policy in some other context. They kept deflecting the query like a hot potato for weeks to different departments without actually ever trying to respond to it! Finally I gave up after a couple of months.

As a consequence, they ended up getting just about 3% of the substantial amount I had to invest at that point in time, and lost any hope of any future investment from myself and my family.

I did let the BM know about this, but doubt if the Bank had learnt anything from this.

I don't have bsdba account in yes bank..
Op is asking for rupay platinum dc, so i told him about yes bank..

Yes bank bsbda account give free rupay platinum dc..
