Another Card by HDFC to join the Devaluation Club

After devaluation of Hdfc dinner club privilege, is it worth now, big devaluation is loungue access, need to spend 15k in previous quarter to avail this.

Now thinking to close this and apply for hdfc irctc.

Huge Huge Devaluation in terms of lounge access
Previously 12 visits per year - no monthly/quarterly capping and with no spending condition.
Now 2 visits per quarter with spend of Rs. 15000 in previous quarter. 🙁

Also no of airport reduce to 18 longue

The only good thing about this card was the 12 lounge access without any conditions and that too is gone now. With its low acceptability it has become completely useless other than to use for Smartbuy offers. HDFC is really going down the drain.

Have received the communication on the mail but that mail do not have any link to this detailed pdf.
Although I have already upgraded to DCB, HDFC still thinks am using DCP.

I heard from someone in HDFC bank recently that HDFC is going to remove Diners club portfolio(not sure though). They are going to devalue it and offer Regalia or Regalia Gold. For DCB they might offer Infinia as ultra Premium HDFC Infinia reserve is in pipeline.

Just a matter of time and need to see what happens.

As per the news they have lost the contract with poshvinie who used to give benefit to Diners..Seems even DCB will be revamped
As per HDFC it's revamped program not devaluation

My RM is like who will use OLA now in voucher

Axis and HDFC had completed Round 1 devaluation. Round 2 started by HDFC, Axis will follow soon.

Major devaluation happening in Lounge access, because lounges are being flocked at the Airports.

With just 3%-4% of country population utilizing credit cards, CC providers not able to sustain losses what will happen if % increases to 10-15%?? All perks and benefits will be gone. 😒

They are removing freeloaders who dont spend and just accumulate cards for lounges. Banks have realized how costly lounges are.

If you spend sir you can access the lounge and be my guest. Seems a route to profitability

Only good thing is rush will reduce in lounges now.
