Infinia Do I really need a paid Infinia for 14750/year?

drsel

TF Prestige
I have Magnus Burgundy, Samsung infinite, Atlas, Airtel, SBI cashback, AU Lit, and many other useful cards
I also have points on Air India for flights and Accor for hotels.

So should I apply for Infinia to buy 10000 Amazon pay on Smartbuy 5x and pharmeasy medicines on Smartbuy 10x ?

Now you know that the best use of Infinia points is for air ticket booking on Smartbuy.
But I already have plenty of points on Air India.
I also have unlimited International and domestic lounge access with Magnus burgundy.
So do I really need a paid Infinia card for 14750 every year?

For me, infinia has two big USP:
1. Earning 5x/10x from smartbuy
2. Infinia points can be used to book air tickets any time with any airline (only 70%, 30% still needs cash). On many occasions, indigo flight was the only or best option for me and I used infinia points. I even used indigo occasionally for international segment also. Some time during peak it is difficult to get award tickets, so use infinia points.

And infinia point are also useful in some air miles cases. I had shortage of some avios as I can only transfer 2L M4B miles in a year now. Used infinia points to get the remaining avios.

If someone is asking this kind of question before taking any top level card, then the answer largely leans towards : NO

What a card 💳 this is..
Neither The low end MB (money back) nor the high end MB (magnus burgundy) goes well with this card 💳.

If you need unlimited add-on international lounge access (3 add-ons possible)
If you need lounge access without any spend requirements
If you want to be brand agnostic while purchasing flight tickets and doing hotel bookings
If you want largely exclusion free rewards (utilities still give points)
If you want 15% on Dineout for eating out
If you want other exclusive perks like 1+1 buffet in ITC every month, complimentary nights in ITC, unlimited golf games and coaching

Then YES, you can take Infinia at annual charges of Rs. 2250/= of GST (12500 points settle off against Rs. 12500/=)
