Does emailing support.unipay@sbi.co.in help?

EDIT ---- On November 8th, Friday, around 8pm I got the credit back to my bank account

I used SBI Unipay on November 1st to pay my SBI cash back credit card. Money was promptly withdrawn from my source bank account but never reached the credit card.

Then I go to the customer portal and I see this (attached screenshot) 1730695155288.webp

First, it says 29-Oct-2024 ??? How, I made the transaction on November 1st ... Anyway, so it failed.

When I click on "Raise Complaint", it says "Transaction not found" and not letting me raise a complaint on the SBI Unipay website. 1730695322106.webp

So I email support.unipay@sbi.co.in and I immediately get back a couple of emails saying

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

devidas.chaudhari@sbi.co.in
and
Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

pawan.ojha@sbi.co.in

with an error of

The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now. Please try resending your message later, or contact the recipient directly.


What happens now? When can I expect my Rs. 40172 back in my source bank account? Will it happen automatically? I couldn't find any phone number either

Amount is automatically refunded after 4 working days.. you can wait.. even when I sent the mail I got the same replies.. not sure if sending email helps or not but my refund came back in under a week.
 
Money will be automatically refunded with 4-7 working days. Better always do the payment on sbi unipay if you only have double the amount you are paying in your account to avoid missing cc payments in these type of situations or pay before 7-10 days of due date so you have enough buffer if incase it fails.
 
Your only option is to wait for 3–5 working days. A few people here sent emails, thinking it would expedite the refund process, but that's pure delulu thinking, and they don't even realise it.

There is no dedicated support for unipay nor other portals.

Just wait a few working days, and the refund will either be processed to your credit card or returned to your account.
 
I had failed txns 3 times at Unipay in last 6-7 months. Never reached CC. It came back on 5th day everytime. If there are national holidays in between then it is 6th/7th day. But do remember any txns that fails have their funds in bank only. It is just that it is on hold and bank has to wait 72 hours before giving it back to you. Once 72 hrs crosses, they refund and it takes 2-3 days to reflect in your acc. Even if txn is successful, bank give money to merchant on 3rd day only. A debit from your account doesn't mean funds are given to merchant. It is put on hold. When merchant fails to claim it by presenting successful receipt, it is aut-reversed.

Didn't worked for me this time. I paid bill on 18th Oct and it got failed. Still waiting for refund. No one is replying from SBI unipay team. Just waiting for 1 month to pass so that I can complain to RBI ombudsman. Raised it to SBI GM and they asked me to contact source bank which is indusind in my case. This is the reply I got from gm.customer@sbi.co.in

Works fine 99/100 times but this 1 time it has got out of hand. Just wondering who is incompetent. Looks like indusind in my case.

Don't worry it will get refunded plus you will rp too or in my case with my idfc dc I received rp for failed trnx cause it successful from bank side.
