Does emailing support.unipay@sbi.co.in help?

Thanks for the update man!

Yeah this message isn't really helpful. I have made lots of transactions on SBI Unipay too, every one of them except this particular one has passed. When it passes, the confirmation/ transaction/ credit card payment is instant. When not, well .... waiting game.

Sbi - No revert
Bbps - reverted that they are checking
My bank - they have opened case and checking

Your txn was done on a holiday. Holiday txns have their own sweet time of 7-15 days for refund to reflect. It get into mess of value date and txn date. Have patience. You will receive refund for sure automatically.

Good to know I'm not the only one who did a transaction on nov 1st and seeing it fail 😀

Out of curiosity, does the actual date on which you made the transaction match the receipt from SBI Unipay?

For me, i did the transaction on November 1st, but the SBI Unipay website claims it as October 29th 2024 .. I wonder why

Are you seeing a mismatch between actual transaction date and date shown on the receipt?

Also, which bank is your "my bank". I have yet to open a case with HDFC (I used the HDFC Platinum DC)

You would think with everything _digital_ , for a computer holiday or not should not matter, no? Does anyone know what level of human interaction is involved that "holiday transactions" take longer to refund than transactions done on regular days?

SBI Unipay Support is shit. they don't even reply or acknowledge. Even BBPS is of no help.

In case of transaction getting stuck raise a ticket with HDFC and they should be able to revert it within 5-10 days.

A holiday is a holiday no matter whether it is digital computer handling it. The program are deisgned in a way to take holiday and they auto add value date to those txns. Even our Fixed deposit that are maturing on a holiday don't get credit to account till next working day but bank genuinely give interest for extra days. Suppose you have a FD maturing on Second Saturday of month because last month I had the same with Unity FD maturing on 12th Oct, 2024. It came only on 14th i,e Monday but they gave 2 days extra interest to me. So in Value date they still shown 12th Oct but in Txn date it was 14th Oct.

Same is with your CC txns. There are no human activity invloved behind the scenes. The Algo takes decision based on programming. So the CC payment you made on Nov 1 will have Value date as Nov 2 bit Txn/payment Date as Nov 1 only. For refund it will be considered as Nov 2. As next day was Sunday, you refund will be on Nov 8/11 only because 9/10 are again holidays and it won't settle if it don't come by Nov 8 evening. Whenever our txn fails we know when it will come. A txn on Monday if fails will be settled fast if there is no holiday in between.

As I said before a failed txn fund or a successful txn fund never leaves your account. It is put on hold after making debit entry and then it is all on bank to process these hold funds back to your account. Pvt banks most of time do it fast. So 72 hrs wait period is minimum.

As far as your Nov 1 txn showing Oct 29, you need to look for the txn reference number. Maybe you tried to pay on Oct 29 also but didn't went to payment page to complete it and your Nov 1 txns actually didn't got captured itself. With Unipay sometimes txns never show up till few weeks. But it is rare. My 100% txns whether success or failed are correctly appearing since May 2024.
