Have used PNB Rupay CC quite a few times last quarter and have already spends of more than 1L in SBI SimplySave. Yet both have charged 499+gst. What a bloody coincidence, both happened on the same day. 😂

Emailed PNB and waiting for their response. Chatted with SBI executive who asked me to pay as it would get reversed in next statement. Let us see otherwise RBI Ombudsman, here I come.

Nothing new in this. Just email PNB for reversal which you have done already so wait for their reply.
For SBI they charge first then if you have met annual waiver then it gets reversed in next billing cycle.

Update:
Both SBI & PNB have reversed the annual fee + GST. Sadly, I had already paid both the bills as precaution so both CC now have -minus balance.
If you have spends on both cards in this month then you can utilize that minus balance. Else for SBI you have option to take back excess balance to savings account. I have not used that feature but its available in SBI cards app. Go to Services-> Credit Balance Refund.
I don't know if similar is available for PNB.
