I bought something using my HSBC card & had to cancel it & I got the refund, but by that time I have already paid my bill. so now I have ~13k in my CC. I dont have a savings account with HSBC. how can I move this extra funds to my savings account (different bank). will there by some charges? how much time will it take?

no charges, have to submit cheque for that bank to credit. after process 4 to 5 working days.

if there are spends, better utilize this statement or keep it if not urgent. to avoid unnecessary process.

can I do this online? we dont have HSBC branch in my city.

also i use this card mostly for swiggy and zomato for 10% CB, and that is hardly a few thousand. spending 13k will take months.so i better have it in my savings where it is actually useful to me

contact support, they'll provide further instructions... not only hsbc but if you face same issue with any bank..

you don't need savings account or that branch near to you.. amount credited to your provided bank account.

Usually, the excess amount will be transferred only to the same bank account from which the last credit transfer took place into the CC account to settle the outstanding CC bill.

Each bank's refund process differs. So, call their Customer Care team n go by what they suggest.
