Exit from HDFC regalia

I have LTF Hdfc Regalia card. 5 lakh limit.
I have pretty good banking history with HDFC. Got this Regalia card after multiple subsequent upgrades from lower cards, all LTF only.

Recently HDFC has changed launge access terms and allowed it on conditional basis. They linked lounge access with expenses on card and that too quarterly only. Detailed terms are as per attached image.


This is the deal breaker for me as lounge access is most used feature by me.

So beware if you are applying for HDFC Regalia card to enjoy Lounge benefits. It is in past now.

Now, the question is, they are offering me upgrade to Regalia Gold but it will not be free. Yearly fees will be payable.
How can I get LTF upgrade?
Is there any better alternative to Regalia Gold? LTF with lounge access?

if you can get Diners Privilege LTF or Tata Neu Infinity LTF
lounge access in these cards are yet to be devalued
although devaluation might not be far away

personally I tried to close Regalia LTF to get these,
first time they lied that card cannot be closed since on shared limit,
second time after clarifying with grievance redressal, ended up not getting any confirmation call at all and card got closed without any retention offer

Regalia gold has 12 lounge visits pa which cover all lounges (as expansive as Infinia). Even your addon card holder gets a priority pass. So, if lounge visits are necessary for you then upgrade to RG on FYF basis especially if you can try to upgrade to DCB or Infinia within the 1st year.

Regalia Gold has 12/year. The super-premium CCs have unlimited lounge access

Keep the card if you intend to move further in future for more premium cards in HDFC stable since its LTF already. Take up Scapia for lounge access. 5,000/- spend in the preceding cycle is mandatory though domestic lounge access is unlimited.

Already there has been devaluation on lounge access of DCP( down from 12 to 8), but they have introduced BOGO offer as compensation, but its not so drastic nd strict like what they have done with the regalia.. they almost killed this lovable dream card.
