Depends.. You can get away with that.. but why take this kind of risk for just a card? I mean at most you will save few thousand in a year.. but if you get caught you can get into serious shit & even if bank dont do any legal actions against you.. but if they report on cibil or something like that you will not get any loan or anything in future.. Forget about morality.. But just the risk to reward ration is not in your favour.. If you win, at most you will save few thousand in a year.. And if you loose you loose big.. If something got reported like that you will not get loans and credit cards.. and worst legal action against you..

what if i provide fake income proof for standard chartered smart credit card?

can they find its fake?
Not worth it, honestly. If they do find out, you're in serious trouble. If not, lucky you. But they definitely can find out if they wish to. And SC is very particular about these things.

you can't fake income proof for sc cause if you apply offline they need to know the company you're working for is approved by them or they have tied up so that a big no and online cibil will be required and hence it will fail to determine your income cause you're not matching their income required cause they only give cc to salaried individual

Depends how have you shared it. Most likely they wont but you would also need bank statement how would you match it with org name

Citibank customer care executive had once said banks have access to 26AS (using PAN card) and that is used to determine eligibility (not only ITR and payslips).

I doubt the authenticity but it is not worth faking any information in credit card application - never do it as everyone here iterated.

Just asking, if for example : I have salary 1000000, is it totally wrong to put Rs1000001?? (Legit question)

you can do it, however if you are caught you will be ban for 6 months from applying
rarely a bank permanently bans a customer
you wont obviously be screwed as written above

Its 1 rupee, is it that scrutinized? 1 rs I'll accumulate as interest🤣🤣

For ITR every bank has software linked with the income tax department from there ITR ack is verified with Name, Ack no, Date, Income and tax paid. Since in the initial scrutiny fake documents are rejected.
Yes, in my recent application for Axis, there was a consent checkbox for this very system, the name is slipping from my mind, but this definitely exists and is used by banks

listen to the folks here, do not do it - it's not worth getting you financial history ruined. It is illegal as per our penal code and not worth the hassle.
