Finally Closed my SBI BPCL Card

There is no need to raise any complaint. As long as you fill up for an amount between 400 to 4000, the points are automatically credited in a couple of days. There is no need to buy any voucher. Just redeem them for fuel at any BPCL pump. It makes no difference which CC machine is used to swipe the card. It can be Paytm, Axis, SBI etc
I filled up 3 times in last billing cycle, 3400, 1900 and 2800. all in bpcl pumps but got points and fuel surcharge waiver for 2800 only. didn't get for 3400 and 1900. uts happening every time

Strange. I have filled up across India without any issues. In Ludhiana as well.
Sir ji,
Recently got BPCL Octane, He told that any BPCL pump any POS they will use, you will get rewards points.. Dont worry.. Is this true..?
I understand for redemption I have to probably go to pump who do redemption but for getting rewards points i guess any BPLC pump will work. Please correct.
Also Will I get 29 points for 100 petrol (6.25% and 1% sur charge as rewards points?
or sur charge will be waived off and only 25 RP for 100 petrol..

I've been using BPCL card for the past 4 years. Got 13/100 reward point every single time at all BPCL outlets no matter the POS machine used. So much so that I fill up only at BPCL outlets though they aren't many in number.

For redemption you need to identify some BPCL outlets and ask them to redeem they will do it. The bigger outlets usually will have the facility. You can also call up SBI and credit the points to the card as cashback. They will do that at 25p/100 though Rs.118 will be charged as fee.

The only gripe I have with BPCL is that SBI won't upgrade it to Octane.

I have the BPCL CC from 2019 and used only one time(2 months back) for 180 INR and got the surcharge waived. Don't know how to check for RP for a particular transaction?

I have been using the card for more than 1 year now and have never faced any issue. Fuel surcharge waiver upto 1% of Rs 10k is provided every single time every month. Also, points for fuel upto 10k is provided every month. I have used many BPCL pumps across the country to fill and never faced any issue in surcharge waiver or points credit. For redemption, I collect points and then redeem them against BPCL fuel voucher for Rs 250 with 1000 points and the pumps readily accept those vouchers to fill fuel.

npe, not true, it is so messed up bro. the usual pump i used to use added one new pos recently, and now not getting points. 3 SRs raised, no use

not for redemption, i am talking about regular usage
Any BPCL pump is fine.
people who are not having issues with the points credit for BPCL is living in parallel universe I guess 🙂 sounds unbelievable after the horrible experience i have had
Absolutely no issues ever at any BPCL pump across India. Points are always credited in 2 days. Makes absolutely no difference what POS machine is used. Never pay any notice. They grab whichever one is free. Very easy to redeem at any BPCL as well. No hassle at all.

Absolutely. Same experience for me as well. I was afraid after hearing all the complaints.

No reward points for transaction below 400. No way to check for a specific transaction. You can note down or remember the existing points and them check 2 days after the new transaction and see how many were added. It should be 4.25% of the transaction amount multiplied by 4. So if you fill up for 1k, you would get 180 points. As long as it is around that mark, I am happy.

Same experience and same gripe! They have refused me the upgrade as well!

Yes, any BPCL pump is fine. It doesn't matter which machine is used.

I asked for NOC and they said that DPI outstanding is 5.71.. though there's no outstanding from my side. now it is not letting me pay 5.71 paise as card is closed. anybody know a wayout for this?
