Hi Guys,
I need urgent help in regards to fraud/fake emails I am continuously receiving on my personal I'd which belongs to some other person but being delivered to me by financial institutions like Banks And NBFCs.
I believe my email id is exposed and someone is using my email id to apply for different financial products of different banks and NBFCs.

I checked my security system of mail but found nothing suspicious over there on top of that strengthened it more but still receiving daily 5-6 mails.
I tried customer support of all such banks and nbfc but they didn't find anything and resolving the case stating "we faced technical glitch at our end". But still continuously I am receiving mails of different names of having your cc is approved, click here to initiate KYC.
Hi Pankaj, your loan is disbursed into the given account.
Hi Sonam, your cc is rejected due to this reason.
All mails are authentic as I checked with the customer support.

What should I do in this case.??
RBI/ CONSUMER FORUM/ OR DFS??
PLEASE guide.

Try to remember which agent you gave your PAN card or Aadhaar card for the credit card application.

He is having fun by submitting applications on your behalf and meeting his targets.

There is nothing you can do now except figure out who it was, call that person, and give them a good lesson.

Nothing can be done for now.

My email was used by another person to take a loan in IndusInd. The first name of the person matches mine. Gender is different. She uses three initials, one matches mine. I am trying to gather as much info as possible by the person who took the loan so that if I catch her/him, I could ask her/him to use a different email. IndusInd fetched ckyc record of that person a few days ago and I received the notification on my email. There was a PDF attachment with that email. Password is the date of birth. I tried to use my date of birth. It didn't work. So, it confirms that only my email is used by the applicant (or the agent who filled the application). No Aadhaar or PAN data is exposed.

I reached out to IndusInd once to rectify the issue. IndusInd said it was fixed. If there is any issue, I could use that reply for reference.

In my case, my email was used only once. If it happened multiple times, it must be frustrating.

Recently I didn't apply to any loan or credit cards etc. Back in early 2024 only, i applied through one agent but recently in March I started receiving all fraud emails.
I reached out to all financial institutions where my email was used. They assured actions. Some of them removed my email from their database. Someone still investigating the matter.

Thinking of closing that email id - safest recourse possible I guess !!!
Or anything else you can suggest?

Rightly said, from march 2025, I am crazily receiving fraud emails... As you said, only email id is used in your case too, same with me.
I gathered info of one person whose loans documents my mail id was mentioned but I didn't reach out instead complained on cyber crime plus FIR. Till now no action as of now.

In my case, I am receiving application mail from different financial institutions be it banks, NBFCs and what not.
