From SBI SimplyClick to CashBack

I am already holding SBI SimplyClick Card want to change to SBI CashBack Card.
I tried twice but got rejected both the times after hard enquiries on my CiBil. Last I applied was in March 2023.

Any trick or anyway to get it changed or upgraded without much hussle.

There's no way to upgrade from simplyclick to cashback. You need to place a fresh application for cashback card. They are rejecting not because of your existing Simplyclick. There may be a problem in your CIBIL/income documents. So it's better you apply for cashback after some months and after getting cashback card you can close your simplyclick. One important point: Sbi cashback doesn't give 10 percent discount in festive sale like Big billion day, you can use simplyclick there.

Can you tell more about this? Was he having only simplysave card? How long he holding this card? Was it easy on call to get upgrade to cashback or they took good time on call to get convinced to upgrade to cashback card?

Agent coerced me into applying for simplysave rupay, when I actually told her I wanted cashback card. She said can be converted to cashback card by calling on customer care, but I somehow just cant talk to a executive (cant navigate through the maze called SBI custcare!) Any help?
Should i not activate my simplysave?

Don't activate this card since they're not going to upgrade it to SBI CB. Just apply for the SBI CB card after 90 days.

i had applied for cashback card on Jan 5th, application rejected, reason -timed out (got a phone call on Jan 6 but missed it 😓, never recieved a call again). Should i mail custcare to revive or reconsider the said application?
