Got idfc wealth card without any effort

I recently wanted buy something in flipkart and idfc was one of the offer cards.. I was eyeing for this card but no real interest to apply as i have sbi cb and axis ace.. Due to fk offer thought i will give a try and applied online..
In application, it asked for existing cc i gave my hdfc regalia first with 2 L limit. I thought i may get select card.. Surprisingly got approved for wealth with 4.7L limit. Card got delivered in 3 days.

Well it's good that you didn't got FD WOW. Make your overall utilisation low and try after 3 months for higher varient.

After a week, they increased my credit limit to 2.5L and stated that I'm ineligible for a Wealth card since it requires at least 5L in credit limit.

Deciding it's enough, I just raised a card closure request for Millennia from the app now. I'll re-apply for Wealth once the card is closed. I won't be using the IDFC Millennia Card anyways apart from instant discount (for which I have friends as well).

Do you guys think this is a good approach?

Got my Wealth CC today. After the closure request on 20th Jan, they again asked for Payslips & bank statements. I even gave them my credit card statement for ICICI Rubyx with credit limit of 8L). Received a reply after 8 days stating that I'm ineligible for the card 3rd time in a row. I had my Savings account already upgraded to First Wealth by this point.

Deciding to cut my losses, I raised a closure request again on 2nd Feb. Received a call on 3rd Feb asking the reason for rejection. Told the entire saga and asked them to close the card citing the reason "ineligible for Wealth CC upgrade". Customer care person again tried to push the "benefits" of Millennia card and I might get an upgrade with Limit Enhancement soon. I just asked them to either upgrade the card or go ahead with the cancellation request. Raised a new request "Card upgrade without Limit Enhancement" and promised that the card will be closed automatically if the upgrade doesn't go through. I didn't have any hopes in this regard. Received an SMS today that my DreamFolks & Wealth CC are shipped. I have the same 2.5L limit as my Millennia though.

Our good people at post office marked both items as "refused delivery" without even making any attempt to deliver the product, nor a phone call at least. Both are now being redirected to Idfc again. I'll have to ask IDFC to change the delivery partner and hope they listen. Shouldn't have expected anything less from Indian post office

Our good people at post office marked both items as "refused delivery" without even making any attempt to deliver the product, nor a phone call at least. Both are now being redirected to Idfc again. I'll have to ask IDFC to change the delivery partner and hope they listen. Shouldn't have expected anything less from Indian post office
