Now not possible without cluster head approval, and for that you will need to be on good terms with BM

Did you try?? I tried to upgrade my Marriott Bonvoy card to Infinia and asked CC to keep both cards with split limits. They denied. I took the upgrade from DCB LTF to Infinia FYF.

Yes. I also wanted to keep my DCB LTF. There are posts where people have got DCB and Infinia with split limits but I guess my limit is not suitable for split limits.
I asked HDFC for LE based on C2C. But they didn't accept the request.
