HDFC Bank salary account

TF Buzz
I need a help. I hold 3 HDFC credit cards. Millenia LTF, Paytm HDFC card and recently got upgrade offer to MoneyBack+

My oldest card is since 2018, CIBIL score 780 and having shared credit limit of 59k. When I got the card it started with 30k. Bit frustrated with less credit limits. I have 3-4 other bank cards in 3-4 lakhs limit range.

Recently opened a premium HDFC salary account with millennia Debit card variant. Monthly salary 50k, can maintain few lakhs balance if needed.

Now, should I close those 3 cards with other Customer ID and wait for better credit card on my new account with new Customer ID ? In netbanking it says I don’t have any credit card, probably it is new Cust ID and not capturing my existing Credit cards. Need a close to perfect solution please. Can’t wait for decades for a good credit card, already a long wait.

Millennia to Moneyback+ is downgrade.
Call customer care, they'll guide about how to card in HDFC net banking.

Even I was confused in this & they helped.

I have Millenia and MoneyBack+ both now. Moneyback got upgraded to plus. Is Regalia reasonable expectation for 2L balance ? Or any other suggestions on my actual post ?

Closing out all cards and starting fresh wouldn't serve any purpose. You would lose the credit history that you have built since 2018.

Going by what I have read in other threads, Millenia & Moneyback+ provide similar benefits to a great extent. Since you already hold Millenia as LTF, there is no point in retaining the Moneyback+ card (I am also assuming that the Millenia card is your oldest card.) You can safely close it.

Coming to the low credit limit issue; you can request for a limit enhancement directly from the netbanking console or drop a mail to HDFC CC customer care division and request for a limit enhancement.

When I checked it in CIBIL score simulator, closing my oldest HDFC card doesn’t have any impact on my score, zero. Probably because of long history of my other 15 credit cards.

Now, what should I do ? Maintain good balance for LE or close all cards ? BTW I gave request to close my MB+ and Paytm HDFC cards today

I guess you are good then.

Good that you closed the MB+ and the Paytm cards. Use the Netbanking portal to increase the credit limit first; drop a note to CC if that fails.

Sure, thanks. BTW what is product code 113 ? Cust care agent said it is digital savings account but my bank person told it would be Premium Salary A/C. Does anyone know ?

Cibil simulator is unreliable.
Actual impact can be different.

Interesting, so have u had any prior experience like that ? I unnecessarily paid 1200 rs for yearly subscription, if what you say is correct.
There's a cibil thread where people were discussing their experiences. you can search for it. i don't have the link handy.
From what i remember, it was a hit or miss scenario..

Need suggestion . I had a LTF Regalia card earlier but I got it closed within 1 year or so as I was looking for a fuel card which was more of my requirement. Got my HDFC IOCL card and have been using it quite well from 7 8 months. Is it possible to get a 2nd card or maybe a new premium card as LTF ? I am having a preferred salary account with ( salary around 1.5L pm & account age >13 yrs ) or do I have to close my IOCL Card and wait for 6 months (LTF, but not good in terms of fuel point, have to drop email CC most of the times).

Also planning to get my spouse's salary family account opened for platinum DC for CC Bill payment( currently have milleniaDC). Will she be able to get CC in hdfc, being a housewife but annual Rental Income and ITR Of around 4 Lakh ? She already has Axis IOCL,Flipkart and Onecard CC.

Try DCB or others.

But it's not easy to get core card now 🤭.

If they reject, escalate via email & get it approved.

I have been trying to open a hdfc salary account since last month. My company has a corporate relationship with them and I tried to contact the corporate rm's who had put up their contacts on the atm in our cafe.
I got in touch with 2 of them, they just ask about my interest in giving an initial ip of 5l which gives me a choice account number. After refusing that both the fellows just evade the calls and show no interest in opening the account.
For context my net is a little above 1.5l. I decided to go through them to get the ltf regalia gold card offered through corporate relationship.
Any ideas on how I can proceed.
