HDFC Bank Tata Neu Credit cards now live

When the transaction fails, it never loads the OTP page but produces an error page instead. There have been no failures for me after the OTP has successfully been generated and inputed. But those are few. Most times it errors out.

And yes, I am on the latest version of the Tata Neu app, and I am not using plugins or content blockers that may interfere with payments etc etc. I've been using credit cards online for over 20 years now.
Another problem i found on RuPay cards even sometimes Visa and Mastercards too.

Im not using Tata Neu app but if you saved your RuPay card on Tata Neu app as token, high chance your saved card token is broken that's why most of the time otp gateway page is not open. just deleted your saved card and re-add or try without saved your card. Your card otp page will open without any error.

Many users have similar type of problem on Mastercard/Visa cards on Paytm wallet load and RuPay cards on Amazon wallet/shopping (solution is simple, delete your saved token card and Re-add or after deleted your saved card, try without save your card).

Card tokenization is still not fully integrated yet. You will find many articles on web.

Funny you should say that. Just today I noticed that my saved cards had all been flushed clear from the Tata Neu app, though there has not been any app update or anything, so I needed to add my card again while checking out. I used the Tata Neu Infinity Rupay card and the transaction went through successfully. Of course, that’s not enough proof to say the problem has been fixed but this might well have been the reason (or one of them).

Also, on a separate note, I see that cc transactions often tend to error out if you opt to skip the tokenisation step. And I don’t know how effective tokenisation is - I repeatedly need to enter my card details on merchants and gateways where I have opted to tokenise my card details multiple times.

That's very inconvenient. Tata Neu is the worst app they've made. Even my saved card has been vanished. Now have to enter Card details everytime. Don't know what are they doing with resources like TCS when they can't even build a running app.

Yes, sometimes merchant is not allowed card payment offer without saved your card as token.

You can read here FAQ section - EMI, Card discount offers etc now work only via tokenization transaction - https://juspay.in/tokenization

faq bullet triangle
What are the flows that will potentially break for me ?

Any flow that relies on either the whole card number or partial card number of a customer, will have an impact. For example, for Offers, those offers that use a 7-8 digit Card BIN or a Card fingerprint for eligibility checks, will no longer be possible as is. Similarly, EMIs, Native OTP, 1-Click flows will also be impacted.
However, Juspay is working with Networks, PGs and Banks to ensure all major flows are compatible with token based transactions by Dec 31st 2021.

Here date mentiond Dec 31st 2021 but tokenization fully implemntation date was extended till 31st september, 2022 but last time i read an article where mentioned banks/payment gateways get 90% success rate on card tokenization payment.
