HDFC Card showing dormant

In my case that stupid bank issued Tata Neu Infinity in 09/2023 and marked it as DORMANT within 2 hours and even before the card was couriered to me. It remained so, till date.
Despite 13 emails n sending dox to their notorious Chennai office, none of those jokers could even tell me what made a mint-fresh CC getting marked DORMANT even before it was despatched.
In only that bank, such things happen.
New cards marked ss dormant.
Some dormant cards working.
Working cards continue to be dormant.
Some or all dormant cards turning active.
And, none in the bank is able to answer. Any n every silly n stupid reason appears correct to them.

They now told me that my add on card will not be dispatched as my primary card has been phased out. So, I asked them to cancel the add on card as it was still visible as 'dormant' in my wife's netbanking and mobile app. They asked me to send a letter to chennai for closure of the add on the card.
What the ****
For a card which i applied online, for a card which is dormant, for a card which i will never ever receive, why should i spend more time and resources sending a letter for closure....
I am fedup with almost every bank that i have account with, Axis, ICICI, HDFC @RAMESH BABU N Do you know a single bank which is good in service?

It took 2 weeks to add that card on upi for addon mobile no. Still showing dormant but I am able to do all transactions. Email reply from hdfc Grievance team still awaited...
I have not tried any offline transaction as of now. Pls try that too.
True ....not much help from the bank...my main concern was to add in upi...I could do that automatically after 2 weeks..
DBS account or card or both?
I can understand for amex...it is generally good.

DBS Account n DC n CC. Right from 08/2016, there was NOT ONE instance where their App or INB did not work or was erratic. Never was even one instance where I had to call them. No sales calls. No mis-selling.
Not for nothing, DBS is rated as THE BEST BANK IN ASIA - continously for many years.

Which dbs card? Vantage ?

Did two swpie transection at offline store , lets see if they activate card in next 4 to 5 days .will update once they do it

Update guys ..after doing one off life transection today ,i was able to add , add on card for my wife to her UPI account .
But still unable to get add on card for my self from her Hdfc biz card
Any idea if HDFC allows add on card on biz cards ?

Good...I haven't done any offline as of now. But could add card after two weeks of issuance.
Still showing dormant ... I think it's better to ignore it... sab kaam to ho raha hi h ...
