My HDFC CC was renewed and I received a new card today.

And I received this message to give a missed call to activate the card.

Is this legit?

What are the other methods to activate card?

I have received following msg after getting card:

Activate your new HDFC Bank Credit Card & avoid closure as per regulator
Give missed call on 9966027100
OR activate @MyCards: hdfcbk.io/a/LKZNKxXK

Just complete 1transaction, there's no need to set a pin or make a missed call.

Set a new pin on my cards portal as well as the limits for domestic and international transactions.
Also give a missed call

Arey bhai why is there so much ambiguity in answers!
Simply go to netbanking/mycards setup any pin for the new card using otp verification!
The existing card would be closed in a day or 2 or max 15 after activating new card!
No need to wait/txn etc.
Also credit cards have features like international transactions, online transactions, and contactless payments disabled by default when initially issued, meaning these types of transactions will not be allowed until the cardholder actively enables them through their bank's online portal(netbanking, mycards) or app(the HDFC APP)!
