Exactly, it's complicated. At Axis Bank, it's generally three times your salary if you have a salary account with them. I'm not sure about HDFC, but there's a high chance of a limit increase if your limit is lower than your monthly salary. Try your luck by raising a request with Grievance.Redressalcc@hdfcbank.com and attach your last three months salary slips.It is a very complicated formula
