HDFC Debit Card UPgrade - Is it worth it ?

Hi all,


I have been getting this HDFC Debit card upgrade offer for years now, wasn't part of the community hence never looked at debit card as potential game changer (CC billpay) before.


Hence need help if I shall upgrade to any of the offered cards (Screenshot attached), will the upgrades Debit card be chargeable or free as my current Debit card is.

For medium to high spenders, Platinum DC is always better

Yeah. The joke is - I got salary account along with platinum DC. Read about Millenica DC's features here in Technofino and decided that ₹400 cashback is enough for me, applied for it and got it. But since I am in Technofino, my CC spends got higher 🤣🤣 Now thinking to get Platinum DC again.

I did not know every category of our spends can get us cashback/rewards (e.g., UPI spends, Fuel spends, train/bus ticket booking, etc). All I was using is APay ICICI card because it was LTF. For recharges and travel booking, I was depending on the app provided cashbacks.

Now almost all my spends are through credit cards.
