You are mixing 2 different issues here :Yes, some of us live or visit outside Tier 1 cities.
The point is not how this is 'in line' with other cards or your definition of a misuse. It's simply that they said something when people signed up, and then they are penalising people for doing exactly that now without informing (or even being clear themselves) about a change. If they had said upfront, like with other HDFC cards, that PP uses in India will attract charges, this issue wouldn't be happening. Their terms very clearly said access through PP in India and outside, and if they have made a change, they should communicate that to people.
And it's so interesting how the HDFC agents who are now saying "PP should be used only internationally" still aren't saying if usage through PP in India will be charged. They are very clear about that for other cards. Now before someone says "that's obvious", it isn't, it is a change in their policy and they are not being clear about it.
The problem is same direct answer varies based on whom you ask. If you call the same team again, you may get different reply. Thanks! This, I believe, is the most direct communication so far.

There's no confirmation from nobody that PP is free if used domesticallyWhy are people still calling & emailing cust care. Already someone on here has posted that people higher up the chain itself have given confirmation that PP is free for domestic use as of now and there are no changes.
It just seems you guys want them to devlaue this
Please cut the clutter:
The relevant portion of the MITC is as under:
"K) Lounge Access Priority Pass - Charge of $27 + taxes, will be applicable on all the lounge visits exceeding the complimentary limit. Infinia, Infinia (Metal Edition): Complimentary priority pass membership for Primary and add-on card holders with unlimited lounge access for priority pass card holder. Diners Club Credit Card - All visits exceeding the complimentary limit will be charged at the prevailing lounge rate inclusive of taxes. Card validation charges for the lounge will be levied and not...
MODS, can you please mark the above as solution ? the thread is getting longer for no reason when we already have an answer. It is just causing confusion and more people to reachout to support which is obviously not in our favor, more requests may actually have them devalue this feature.
Can you atleast go and read the post I have linked? There's no confirmation from nobody that PP is free if used domestically
Can you quote the text you want me to read? Can you atleast go and read the post I have linked?

I have got double confirmation from the BH and ZBH that there is nothing like paid visits using PP of Infinia, as of now. They have informed that the product team has been consulted by them and there is no any confirmation about the discussion of paid PP in domestic lounges.
However, one thing is sure that keeping in view the queries that they have been receiving and the pessimistic approach, the bank can definitely think that they could do so.
That's from MITC where generic statement was made mentioning unlimited lounge access for PP holders. SO there are 2 things here - Firstly there's no clear confirmation on this. If you speak to customer care, they will talk about the charges being levied if PP used domestically, MITC has a generic statement and SmartBuy portal is not in sync with the Infinia page on HDFC portal. Here you go -

I am not even gonna argue with you. That's from MITC where generic statement was made mentioning unlimited lounge access for PP holders. Secondly, since it's all open to our interpretations - I feel, we can still use PP domestically based on my discussion with an escalation manager. Also, they haven't clearly specified that using PP at domestic airports will incur charges (unlike other HDFC card)
The point is - there's no confirmation either ways from the bank but the fact is that they have changed their page and modified the lounge pdf clearly shows that they are discouraging us to use PP domestically. Now whether or not charges will be levied will be known to the users only after bank's confirmation or 2-3 months after the PP usage.
No such intentions, my friend. Keep it going won't help me. My points were clear. There's no confirmation either ways from the bank in black & white while you insist on something while could be misleading for many.I am not even gonna argue with you.
They have clearly mentioned confirmation from BH & ZBH. Seems you just wanna keep the thread going for longer than it needs to be.
