HDFC life insurance Refund

My father (63) tempted by bank agent opened a HDFC Gurrentred Life Insurance Plan with a Yearly Premium of 1 lakh and today they have taken all otps and payment of 1 lakh 4 thousand with GST for the plan. After that we decided to not to take the plan and ask them to cancel it , the agent continuosly calling for final verification and processing the application but branch said that we should not answer them and wait for few days to get the refund. Even after 25 days we didn't receive the refund. The HDFC agent still calling us for verification but branch ask us to not to answer them. So What should I do now. When I will receive the refund the branch said that It will credit soon but not yet get any formation. What should I follow next step

First write to hdfc email id formally for the record asking for cancellation of policy before 30 days have passed.. This is critical to ensure that there is a documentary evidence that you have given cancellation request within free look period. All this has to be done by policy holder from registered email id. Follow up with a phone call and record the call.. THIS IS CRITICAL.. if 30 days pass then you are stuck..

After that follow up with the branch directly where it was issued.. if agent is not responding.. wait 2 weeks.. raise with IRDA if no confirmation is gvn..
