HDFC Pre-Approved Credit Card Offers

TF Premier
Hi,

I opened Savings Max online account in HDFC Bank in January this year, with the thought of holding a Credit Card from HDFC Bank for offers, etc. After ~3 months of usage, and maintaining 26-28k balance, Pre-Approved offers started popping up in NetBanking as well as through emails. Firstly it was 2 wheelers loan, then 4 wheelers, so on. Finally started getting HDFC MoneyBack+ Credit Card offer as well, it had yearly charges, later I started getting conditional LTF. Now, I keep emails from them daily regarding a LTF Credit Card which is MoneyBack+, thought I'd get Millenia, if it was given as LTF, BTW I do have SBI Cashback Credit Card. Anyways, attaching some screenshots below. My question is that —

  1. Should I avail the MoneyBack+ Card only? They say limit up-to 40,000 INR most of the time.
  2. Or should I wait in hope for Millenia as LTF? If they provide it as Pre-Approved that is.
  3. I also have SBI SimplySAVE Credit Card with 1L limit, which was recently increased so don't have more than one statement reflecting the same, should I try C2C for HDFC Millenia Credit Card as LTF?
  4. And finally, since my account is Savings Max, I am supposed to maintain 25,000 INR MAB, but for some reason the same isn't reflected in the NetBanking, and so can I use the fund at times?
Thanks in advance.

You should first change the profile on HDFC Account. Show yourself as Salaried instead of Self employed to get good cards. You can change it easily via NetBanking.

After changing, wait for 2-3 months to see the Change in offers. If its still the same, then send a mail to their priority support that you are a salaried individual (as per your profile) and hence need regular card instead of business card.
Huh then why doesn't everybody just select the maximum annual salary option? I went to check but mine was already at the maximum (>1cr)

I am thinking of applying, the limit in emails and notification panels have said "up-to 1,03,000 INR", not sure how much limit I can expect but let's see, what do you think? @Chaitanya-a

I've held SavingsMax account variant with them mostly balance up-to 30K, but hopefully I should be able to get it I guess
You'll get the same mentioned limit as floor limit of Millenia is itself 1L.

I am a HDFC regular savings account customer for a year now(age 20). I started to recieve pre-approved credit card (business moneyback all three variants no other cards) offers from june or july this year, hence i applied for the card in October and it got rejected (idk why pre-approved got rejected, i had 765 cibil too, Single name could be the issue idk) and every time u put details they make cibil enquiries (i got 6 enquiries 🙂) my cibil dropped 10 points then again 13 points. After rejection the pre-approved offers stopped for a month and again same pre-approved offers started to appear(obv not gonna apply now). I recently changed occupation from Self-employed to salaried, i just wanted to know that how much time does it take to appear for the millenia or other good Credit card?

you just maintained 30k and was offered LTF? Here I was maintaining more than 3L and trash MB was showing on NB. 😅
Yes, mostly it was just above 25K for MAB, just that I've used the DC to pay CC bills, and at times my balance reached 90K but only for a few hours, recently went up to 1.35L and that's it. I haven't held big funds in it for too long, just credit and debit immediately afterwards 😛

Not patience. Anyhow its not useful as I have better cards in Cashback category. But just to have a card from HDFC 😁🙃
Patience does work, at least in my case it did, it was basically like this -

1. Paid MoneyBack+ upto 40K
2. LTF MoneyBack+ upto 40K
3. Paid MoneyBack+ upto 98K
4. Paid/LTF MoneyBack+ upto 1L
5. Paid/LTF Freedom/IndianOil/MoneyBack+ upto 67K
6. Paid Millennia upto 1.03L
7. LTF Millennia upto 1.03L

So, I do think patience is the key here, took me 11 months to get the desired offer, might be that I could get it earlier if I transacted more. But I did what I comfortably could and got the offer.

And guys just received an SMS from HDFC Bank -

Gotta admit I was excited for this one, but I am not sure if that's the case, in any case having 80K limit on Amazon Pay, 1L on SBI SimplySAVE, 30K on Axis ACE, 20K on SBI Cashback, 50K on Kotak League. Checked my profile in HDFC Bank and realized it was set to 1-3L as yearly income, maybe that has to do with less limit, but at least 1L should be great to have, guess time to move to other bank (won't close this account) and make it my primary bank for UPI payments and stuff.

Thats really strange.. CIBIL hit?

Yeah, I did receive a CIBIL hit, it was immediately when I applied for it, so don't know what went wrong, even though I know my income bracket was set to 1-3L in profile details, which I failed to update. In any case, I wanted to ask this, how hard is it in HDFC Bank to get a manual LE? Will drop them a message from NB's mailbox for the confirmation of LTF today.

Maybe.. or its just because of cibil score..

If you can attach supporting docs like salary slip/ITR then they'll consider..

BTW guys would I get this 500 INR voucher as activation benefits?

Also, I've emailed HDFC to confirm the LTF thing, but they are taking time to respond. Should I call them? Also would it mentioned in the welcome kit somewhere?
