HDFC Preferred Banking Programme - Add Family Members.

Is it possible add my brother in law to HDFC Preferred Banking Programme ? (Assuming I hold a preferred Banking relationship with HDFC)
I see options to add my parents/wife/children/siblings/grandparents. What about In laws and so.?
 
in family banking, if you are maintaining the minimum balance required for preferred tier, your mother can maintain 0 balance, right?
definitely for imperia, should be there for preferred too. they just need to create a family group. they will push for a token deposit initially.

also, is there a family group 'admin' concept?
I mean, if your mother maintains minimum balance required for imperia, than can you enjoy 0 balance, even if your mother's account was tagged to YOUR family group?
 
I need to change my RM. Can anyone who has done that earlier give me pointers on how to do that.
She gave me callback today about this, as usual went on to waste my time.
I was facing the same issue. I have a preferred account, asked my RM to add my father. He said that my father's RM is different and needs to be changed to add him in the family group. He sent a mail to the other RM but no response. I kept asking him updates. After a month or so he showed me mails and told me that the other RM is not responding. I had to contact the other RM and his manager several times (RM cant approve the request, his manager has to approve it) who kept denying that he recieved any request. After few days my RM contacted the other manager and the other manager shouted at him. Eventually his bank manager talked to the other manager. Still he didnt approve the request. After a week or so I messaged the other manager to approve the request or I would raise the issue. Then he called my RM and asked to raise the request again as the old one's had expired. And after 3 months of initiating the request my father's RM got changed. Somewhere in between my father also received a call from his RM asking him not to switch and promising that he will upgrade his account to preferred.
I think if the other manager was cooperative, the process would have been quite straight forward. Your RM just needs to raise a request to the other RM and their manager to change RM. After its approved, it will take couple of days to upgrade.
 
How did you get upgraded to preferred account! What’s the min salary credit required for classic/preferred?
I had a bit above 1 lakh in the account. I went to an HDFC branch and asked them to upgrade my account to classic. The RM was very cooperative and instantly filed a request for it. Within few days I got upgraded to classic. After a month or so I went to him and asked him to upgrade to preferred. I think I had a bit above 2 lakhs then. He tried to upgrade but due to some issues it was not getting approved. I kept asking him to upgrade it and after a couple of weeks he asked his manager to file the request for me. And within few days I got upgraded to preferred.
 
I hold classic banking and my mother also holds the classic but want to add them into my family group so that we can upgrade to Preffred in future.But how to check that ther person is added to your family banking group?

Your RM can tell, and if combined AMB above 2L then ask him to upgrade to preferred.

They are somehow prolonging for last few months. So today I went and met with the branch manager. He took my request through mail and said that it will be done in 15days.

From my experience I tell you simple trick
Google HDFC classic/preferred/imperia signup form then print it and sign it (family members name & sign) and give it to your RM.
Wait for a few days then raise a online complaint later your RM will call you and will say it will be done by tomorrow.
