HDFC scammed me

Hi everyone

On 11 mar i applied for HDFC regallia credit card on c2c with 420k limit and bank agent told me ill get around 300k limit. On 17 i received an email that my application was approved and i was shocked after seeing that i got business Moneyback credit card with limit of just 23k so i called the agent and she told me wait till the card is delivered and today i received this mail saying that according to my ELIGIBILITY they change my card varient and gave me business Moneyback. Now i need advice what to do? Pls help me guys

Let me tell u my experience and decide
I am an imperia customer with 20L NRV
BM RM tried a lot for infinia, BBH not agreed, idk they said so...
I have mailed to every email id, even md. No one cared.

Then local Sales manager called me and assured me DCB with minimum 5lakhs limit on c2c as i have axis 6L card.
I asked 2 3 times, he said surely i get dcb only not any other cards.
He personally handled my application, application submission, verification call application number sms all done done in single day
I felt wow.

Verification call guy also said i will surely get dcb only, no chance of other variant.
Next day i got in principle approval message, I was sure its going to be 99% approved.
By evening i got decline message. I was shocked and called that sm, he said he will mail and ask reason.

He did and got reply as back end team don't want to give me dcb as they can only approve 1.3L for me, so they can give moneyback or millinia if i agree.
I said NO.

Filed a complaint to priority redressal, md,
Even attached call recordings of sales maneger, verification call,
no body cared, got reply as that already mentioned in application - any time variant can be changed and u signed on it.
I fought for 2 weeks. Then filed a complaint on RBI ombudsman, next day my complaint was closed as it came under non compliance.
End of the story, having imperia and 20L nrv and 6L axis card can get above 1.3L limit.
That has been the service of HDFC these days
They dont even give a damn towards us.

I don't think there is any point of holding Infinia nowadays while keeping 20L in bank. My RM told me if I maintain 50L balance, then he can give me Infinia ( FYF ). I instead closed my account, imperial is useless anyways.

don't take the card. say i don't want shit sitting in my wallet.
 
You're right, even I feel grateful to have started CC journey early on in life, and now I realise that what I would have missed if I kept on using Debit cards like my friends and did not build my CIBIL history.
I also felt glad when I joined this community and got to know the power of Magnus.
That time was having LTF Axis Neo with 5L + limit,
The day I finalised my decision for Magnus, immediately called Cust care and card generated instantly.
That day I felt so thankful to my past deeds in CC game.
On the other hand, one of my friend with similar income is struggling to get hold of Magnus because of no Credit history and almost new CIBIL profile. No option of C2C left in his case.
The power to negotiate things beforehand becomes 10x if you're an old/high value customer for the bank, which I realised in my journey.
On a positive note: I would like to thank each and everyone in this lovely community who have contributed their experiences and have added value to our Credit journey.

started my credit card journey 2 years ago and used a cc against fd for a year then I started applying for a card on April 22 and now have a total limit of 4.5L IN 4 banks. the card I used against fd is a great decision as I never overspent till now. and cibil is also 777. Some of my friends have stated around the same time they don't have much of a limit. though icici has a limit of 2.2L which I have applied as a second card. i guess sbi cashback with 55k limit is a card which rare to get and with a decent limit i always eny coz most of my friends who got are 10-25k limit
 
Welcome to HDFC betrayed club. Happened a week ago with me. Applied for DCP, everything was approved and got Milennia instead. They take users for granted. I had several mails and calls, nothing changed.

And I got 1 lakh limit. I have most of my cards with 3+ L limit and icici with 5L.

Don't activate the card. if its a ltf then you can have it for the hdfc discount
 
I asked them to cancel the card after their behavior. Now i guess i will keep it as this is a LTF and might be useful in sale offers. I have much better cards, so this will be lying in some corner for me

yeah, only a discount is good in hdfc. And i guess the craze for the millennium card has gone after sbi cashback card so they are pushing it to anyone.

At one time i was crazy about tgis Millennia card and HDFC didn't respond to my request. Now they know, no one is interested in their Millennia card after SBI cashback came, so they are giving it to everyone for LTF. But bringing customer by approval on a better card and giving this card is not done.

Did you wait for one month before filing the complaint? Otherwise it gets closed

Scam Hdfc bank by RBI complain. Seems like they are becoming more and more Axis these days
 
Actually Millinea is Far better in terms Of Cashback of 1 percent including wallet loading and Milestone benefit of 1000 rs Gift voucher for every 3 months on 1 lakh spend ,In Millinea 1 RP is Rupee where as in Privilege card it's 0.20 rs for 1 point for cash redemption
 
Your scenario is a non compliance of Chapter II, Section 6, point IV (which talks about issuing unsolicited card w/o customer consent) of RBI Master Direction. Snippet attached.

Now you know what to do. Good luck. You're eligible for compensation as well.
