HDFC scammed me

At one time i was crazy about tgis Millennia card and HDFC didn't respond to my request. Now they know, no one is interested in their Millennia card after SBI cashback came, so they are giving it to everyone for LTF. But bringing customer by approval on a better card and giving this card is not done.
i haven't inquired for any card in Hdfc till now. I will start with regalia only to go to infinia 😆

On 11 mar i applied for HDFC regallia credit card on c2c with 420k limit and bank agent told me ill get around 300k limit. On 17 i received an email that my application was approved and i was shocked after seeing that i got business Moneyback credit card with limit of just 23k so i called the agent and she told me wait till the card is delivered and today i received this mail saying that according to my ELIGIBILITY they change my card varient and gave me business Moneyback. Now i need advice what to do? Pls help me guys
This is regular practice in hdfc

Rather rejecting the card. They would approve lower variant card.
With less limit.

I had CCs from Citi, HSBC, Barclays, SBI, ICICI, RBL, Amex, Axis, Kotak, HDFC, One Card, ... and few others. now I hold Infinia, Magnus, Sapphiro, Premier Miles and many other lower varients. Only Magnus is paid card, but they compensate with voucher for that

These guys are getting funnier and funnier by the day!

What is their expectation by doing this stuff? If I want a specific variant, why will I be satisfied by any other card?

HDFC credit card department has some oversmart head who has not seen the real world at all it seems.

Take the card but don't use it. It will be automatically deactivated, and nothing will be reported to cibil.

Hdfc guys says they gave me Moneyback coz im not eligible for higher varient and high limit but i have 6L+ itr i have other cards with 400k+ limit i have max acc n maintain good amount still got 23k limit and my neighbour who dont do any job or business who maintain 100rs in his hdfc acc got limit of 67k

You're easily eligible for Millenia as it requires just 5L itr. Send them your itr via mail and ask to review.

actually after 3 months, you can attach your income and other card statements and ask for upgrade. Not sure about that customer support knowledge but this one worked. Again, only if you qualified for that card requirement and not for HDFC super premium cards (DCB, Infinia), maybe it will work but my friend got moneyback+ and after 3 months upgrade to Regalia by sharing that information.

This person just contacted through mail after 3 months, sent forms to chennai and got approval.

If you have hope, patience to follow-up same then get the card and try. otherwise do not activate and escalate to higher till you get satisfactory response or card closure, wait for 1 or 2 months and apply through agent (make sure this time pick correct card and convey everything).

Again, same can happen as is, there is always probability, so be prepare.

But honestly if one qualifies, upto premium cards can easily upgrade with proper income proof/if agreed with other card statements within 6 months itself.

You have 6L+ ITR, did you said the same and got any response from HDFC through mail about upgrade? What is their response?
I said customer support on call that i do have itr of 6L+ so i am eligible for higher varient card but he blatantly refused to hear anything and ask me to wait till i grt offer from them

I told you their customer support executives are dumba**es. Instead write to higher authority via grievance or priority redressal mail ID.

They will say that they are looking into the issue and will revert in 7 days. On the 7th day, they will send you their typical template response stating that you did not qualify for the card you applied for and hence were issued another one. Nothing can be done here, even their PNO dgaf. HDFC is run by inept individuals.

That's true as well. I've sent mail a week ago, no response yet 😂 so yeah they are more of a PSU bank.
 
What I've seen that if you mail to any of the following email ids, irrespective of that same person or team will handle your case. Even if you escalate still same person or another member of same team will look into your case. In short escalating in their hierarchy is useless. They will continue to deny unless you complain to rbi ombudsman.

They were distributing infinias to everyone as upgrades when they were banned. Now they are high headed like their cards have no comparison.

Good observation. I've also seen there's no difference in reply from any of them. All are in mood of denials only.

I think we've to give HDFC bank a space. They've grown older now. Tired of giving services. Need some rest.
