HDFC Swiggy Credit Card LTF

So I applied for an HDFC Swiggy credit card, and I got the card. I already have a Millenia card, so the Swiggy card is a floater card only. I requested LTF through email, and they rejected, and i escalated again they rejected, and i escalated to Grievance Redressal, and they replied

This is with reference to your e-mail dated October 14, 2024 regarding your HDFC Bank credit card account.



It is unfortunate to note that your recent interactions with the bank have not been to your satisfaction and we regret the inconvenience caused to you in this regard. We assure you that it is our constant endeavour to provide outstanding service to you and ensure that your banking experience with us is always pleasurable.


We wish to confirm that a lifetime free credit card shall be issued only based on pre-approved or on-going offers, at the time of card application. We observe that your credit card bearing number XXXX was issued during September 2024 as a first year free card basis your online application. We would like to confirm that the applicability of the annual renewal fee was part of the Terms and Conditions. Also, we wish to confirm that the membership fee was detailed in our product feature panel within the Net Banking application form.



The renewal fee for Rs.500.00 plus GST (Goods and Service Tax) at 18% is applicable from second year onwards which shall be waived upon incurring spends for Rs.2,00,000.00 or more in previous year.

So can I raise it to PNO?
Note: I got the card 1 week ago, and it's not activated yet.

Is your Millennia card spends significant enough to consider bank to offer you Swiggy as LTF?

Otherwise, use till renewal and deal with them at that time (if you still find value in this card by that time), since anyway you don't have to pay joining fee now.

Hai guys, the before month i e octobet my father swiggy app showed a LIFE TIME FREE offer, but havent applied because he has another 2 credir cards from HDFC, and in same month applied 2 other bank cards , so waited to apply this card in november month.

Now when I opened today the first day of November month, It is showing as FIRST YEAR FREE card, now can Anyone say some solution to get this card AS LTF.

depends on person ,

where he is using
what other cards he have which fetch 5% back
which ecommerce mostly he uses.

cant say a single answer and make it worthy to you,
better go the benifits and features of the card. if really you like apply it bro
dont believe others words and apply
always check you self.

but in simple terms, if you are beginner and no other cc, i always suggest it to apply ( only suggestion )

Now I want to apply for tata neu infinity card as well, but unable to apply and hdfc bank site is saying that it seems I have recently applied for this card, hence, they cannot approve it.

Not sure how to get this card

You may try your luck by filling up floater credit card application form and sending it to hdfc chennai office after cooling-off period is over.

you have to wait till cooling period over. not all banks support back to back applications (either successful or failed), so have to deal with it.

They'll agree 100%, if not you'll get compensation for the trouble also.

The only possible issue may arise if you applied through an affiliate link rather than directly on the bank’s website. To avoid complications, always record your application process and ensure approval. No bank can deny benefits especially when the information published on their own website.

If, in any case, they don’t honor their offer, the RBI Ombudsman can assist along with compensation for a false claim and trouble.
