Dear Mr. Basakaran,
This is with reference to your email dated February 15, 2024 regarding your HDFC Bank credit card account.
We infer from your email that, you have raised concern with regards to charges levied on your Card account.
We fully understand your concern expressed towards the bank charges levied on your card account. In appreciation to your valued relationship with us, we have reversed the Late fee of Rs. 100.00 plus GST in your card account the relevant credit will reflect in Subsequent statement.

With regards to your query raised on updation of card details in CIBIL database, as stated in the Card Member Usage guide, it is acknowledged that, as per the existing business practices the bank is authorised to disclose from time to time any information relating to Credit Card(s), to any credit bureau (Existing and Future) without any notice to the customer. Further, members submit data to CIBIL periodically, which is mostly on monthly basis. This data gets updated as and when the borrower does the payment and when the Members report the same in the subsequent cycles. However, the Bank through this, does not attempt to influence any financial institution for approval / disbursement of credit. We confirm that your card account is currently active and the details will be updated accordingly in the CIBIL database as per the laid down guidelines. We seek your kind understanding in this regard.
Further, we also wish to inform you that the current status of your card account has been updated in the CIBIL database as per the laid down guidelines.
