Sir, why would a bank commit to give you a premium account (in their parlance) and then make it zero balance when you aren't ready to give any commitment? They too are here to do business.

Many other zero balance accounts are already available, try Jupiter or NSDL Jiffy or Jan Dhan accounts.

You didn’t get the context. I don’t didn’t want their premium account. I wanted their zero balance account and for that I was willing to start with the cheque.

And where did you get “not ready to give any commitment”? Opening 10K MAB account as zero bal with a 5L cheque is commitment enough, sir 🙂
