How many active credit cards do you have? Flash your portfolio.

how old is your oldest CC ?
38 is huge number, how you manage them and track dues etc ?
Oldest card is from 2018 (I am 99% sure, or 2019), Got a job while I was still in college. Didn't know a single thing about CCs but saw an offer on HSBC Card for a Refrigerator (on Amazon I think). A few days later I saw an HSBC camp in my office criteria, applied for the platinum card, and got it with a meager limit of (40 or 45k). It's the only card I have some mental attachment to and I always carry it in my wallet. Got me through some hard times too. Today the limit has increased to 10L.

As far as tracking is concerned. It's twofold. All statements are forwarded to a Gmail ID and cred pulls the statements. I have consolidated all statement dates on 5th and 25th of every month. I have set up Google tasks to remind me on these days. I open individual apps on these two days and mark the tasks as completed. (Cred + Google Tasks) in case Cred F**s up someday. I pay on the statement generation date no matter what.

Fun Fact: I rejected an offer for LTF DCB (I was still a noob) because I thought managing 3 credit cards will be very difficult. Not a day goes by, that I don't regret that decision. 😆

I just looked at my active CCs and the number is 38.

A bit high but I don't rotate or manufacture spends in any way so the only time I waste is once a year doing a Rs 5 transaction on all cards in case one of them didn't get used. I have cards with (almost) every bank so if I am making a payment, I check if there is a bank offer, sometimes friends and family use my cards but that's about it. I don't chase any spend criteria apart from the Amex spend offers during the festive seasons.

Cards to get in the future
AU Bank (the only ba**rd I don't have right now)

Optional Cards
Union Bank/Other 2nd tier PSU bank rupay select card (already have CCs from SBI, BoB, and PNB)
How long is your journey
