💳 How Many Cards Are in Your Wallet? 🤔

We all carry different cards for different reasons—some for rewards, some for travel, and some just because we love collecting them! 😎

🔥 Drop your card count & their purpose:
✅ Daily spends & cashback 💰
✅ Travel perks & lounge access ✈️🏢
✅ Exclusive discounts & offers 🎁
✅ Just for the collection? 🤩
✅ Cashback & rewards 🎁
✅ Just for the flex? 😎

Do you have any plans to change, replace, or reduce any cards in your wallet?

Let’s see who has the most optimized (or overloaded) wallet! 🚀💬 #CardGame

Both credit and debit cards are part of the discussion.

Are these All the cards you have? Or just the ones in your wallet? Seems so well rounded in just 7 cards.
these are all the cards I have currently. I used to have around 12. but wanted to reduce total limit in cibil (which was around 60L) so closed a few. rn total limit would be around 30L. (sapphiro and coral share one entry/limit)
in my wallet I carry Infinia (just for flexing 🤣), Atlas, and Plat travel (if milestone pending). Along with these Imperia DC.
Planning to close Marquee and get Kiwi sometime this year. Got them to refund the first year fee for it.

I think perfectly well rounded and a great collection 🙂 95% of spends will be easily optimised and covered on these cards.

About flexing, my first metal card was onecard so I carried it in my wallet for the longest time haha. But working my way towards infinia 😛

After getting Infinia, the thrill of collecting cards went away for me. took add-on for my parents incase I hit smartbuy limit on my card.
so the point was, instead of thinking and optimising every spends, tracking milestones, etc, I optimised major spends. this way I don't have to think much for every spend.
Also reduced limit on plat travel from 6.6L to 4.5L since above 4L spend, I won't use it. amex executive was a bit shocked when I said instead of increasing limit, I want to reduce it 🤣.

Myself and my spouse together hold 45 credit cards and 14 debit cards.

I am not a flight/hotel person. I fly only twice or thrice an year. So my cards are cashback oriented.

Cards I always carry in my wallet:
  • HSBC Live+: For Dining, Departmental stores, and as backup for Offline spends.
  • IDFC Power+: Using HP Pay Wallet Load, but keeping card as backup.
  • ICICI Amazon Pay: For hospital spends - the one we usually visit has Educational payment MCC.
  • DBS Rupay Platinum DC: For emergency ATM withdrawal - Always maintaining 10k in this account.
Cards I frequently use:
  • YES Kiwi: Offline QR Scan.
  • SBI Cashback: King of Cashback CCs - Most of the online spends.
  • Axis Airtel: Airtel recharges, Bill payments upto 2500 per month.
  • BoB Eterna: Lounge access, Monthly Online Jewellery Purchase Plan payment, BMS Visa Infinite Offer.
  • Axis Flipkart: For double dips in FK - usually gold coin purchases.
  • Axis Neo: Zomato 40% off upto 120.
  • HDFC Swiggy: For double dips in Ajio, Swiggy and Instamart.
  • IDFC Mayura: For Jewellery Purchase.
  • IDFC Wealth and FirstTap DCs: You know 😉
  • HDFC Millennia DC: You know this as well 😁.
Cards I rarely use:
  • Amex Platinum Travel: Done 4L for the year. So it is sitting idle now.
  • AU Zenith: AU sometimes give good spend based offers for Jewellery Purchase. Last year used this card well.
  • Federal Celesta: Lounge access, BMS.
  • Axis Ace: Backup for Offline spends.
  • HDFC Regalia Gold: Insurance spends, Lounge access.
Cards that are sitting idle (mostly for bank offers only):
  • Amex Gold, MRCC - Stopped using after AGV devaluation.
  • Axis Myzone
  • DBS Spark5
  • HDFC Tata Neu Infinity, Pixel Play
  • ICICI Sapphiro, Coral, Platinum
  • IDFC Wealth, Ashva
  • IndusInd Legend, Platinum Rupay
  • Kotak League
  • RBL Icon
  • SBI SimplyClick, SimplySave.
  • RBL Signature Plus DC
  • ICICI Wealth Management DC

My current CC strategy:

for cashback : SBI CB, HSBC Live+ (covering online and offline respectively)

UPI : Axis Kiwi (direct cashback in savings bank account after redeeming points)

Fuel at HP : using Amex SE (MRCC 1500*4 is more of a headache for me shall close it soon - wish Amex MRCC introduces 1000 bonus points on spending 6K and 20K respectively - sent a feedback mail to modify reward structure)

Lounge : IDFC Wealth DC, HSBC Live+ (flight travel 3-4 times a year)

others for bank offers : ICICI Platinum, HDFC Millennia, SBI SimplyClick, Au Zenith.

First and second CC : Amazon and FK Axis - LTF

Goal : trying to keep minimum CC, not into hotels, flights, so prefer cashback cards.
Last card applied : SBI SimplyClick in Sep 2024.
