Hi everyone,

I need some help understanding how to check how much of my TCS/TDS limit under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) I’ve already used up for the current financial year (FY 2025–26).

I checked my Annual Information Statement (AIS) on the Income Tax portal, and it currently shows only the SWIFT wire transfer transactions I’ve made from my bank. However, it does not show any of the foreign currency spends or withdrawals made using my debit card (for example, online purchases or ATM withdrawals abroad).

What’s strange is that last year (FY 2024–25), all of these transactions appeared under the section titled:

“Outward foreign remittance/purchase of foreign currency.”

Even small amounts — for example, a $1 debit card transaction (~₹80) — used to show up there quite quickly. But this year, that section is completely blank, except for the SWIFT wire remittance.

I have already spent close to 2-3L in foreign currency on my Kotak debit card but it does not show up here, is there a different way Kotak reports? In total I have spent about 10,19,975.52 this FY, 7,28,390 reported via Yes Bank and the remaining has not yet been reported by Kotak.

I’ve attached a screenshot of my current AIS for reference.

This is for the current FY and the one below is previous FY.

Could someone please guide me on:
1. Where or how I can check my total foreign remittance/spend under LRS so far this year, including debit card transactions?
2. Whether the AIS or Form 26AS should reflect all foreign spends subject to TCS/TDS, or only those directly reported by banks?
3. If this depends on my bank’s reporting, what’s the best way to request a full breakdown of my LRS usage from them?

Can I safely withdraw more money via my Kotak Debit card or should I avoid using it anymore to avoid any additional TDS?
