You need to call or write to customer care. Only they can help with variant conversion. I think it will remain LTF.

try using upgrade option in netbanking

also try applying for your desired card in hdfc cards page then it shows your all eligible cards

any specific reason for conversion ?

You may want those DC lounge access, but you shouldnt change it to DC if this is your only card or if you use it everywhere for discounts.... Diners acceptance is still quite low..
