I deposit the EMI directly to the car loan account via NEFT from SBI Savings account. Despite this, the manager is trigerring auto debits on my BOI Savings Account manually that are failing due to insufficient funds as I don't maintain significant amount in that account. The ECS failure charges of Rs 295 were getting charged to the savings account up until now. Now, the manager is charging my car loan account Rs.295 per instance of ECS Failure instead of the savings account for ECS Failure Charges. As per my understanding this shouldn't happen. ECS failure charges are supposed to be debited from the savings account from which auto debit is supposed to happen.Register a complaint on this portal?
btw what is your problem?
BTW the grievance portal on BOI doesn't work. Tried multiple times, throws a vague error at the last page of submission. Hence seeking alternatives.Register a complaint on this portal?

If the bank took your sign on an auto-debit form, then there's not much you can do, as this is common practice.I deposit the EMI directly to the car loan account via NEFT from SBI Savings account. I went through the documents and no where is this activity mentioned. I already requested the manager to waive it off or reflect the debits to my savings account, but he flat out refused to do it. Come to think of it, it's quite absurd that a loan account could have debit failure 🤣. As he's not complying with my request nor is the bank cgro responding, I have no option than to raise it to the RBI BO.If the bank took your sign on an auto-debit form, then there's not much you can do, as this is common practice.
Banks take your consent for auto debit during loan sanction, and once you sign, you're liable to maintain that balance in your savings account.
You can try to file a grievance and bank 'may' agree to waive previously debited charges, on the grounds that you weren't aware of auto debit consent and were paying off the loan regularly.
The bank is technically not wrong in this, if you signed the form/consent.
But regarding your manager charging your LOAN acct for ECS failures on your savings account, I doubt that is allowed.
Banks are not allowed to put the savings acct balance in negative, and debiting savings account charges from your loan account without consent also may not be allowed. But they may have a clause in the loan documents; they generally get around 30-40 pages signed before sanction.
Try to check all loan docs & TnC that you signed at the time of loan, and file a grievance with the bank.
If they don't agree, try RBI BO.

I complained at RBIO and asked for compensation.I opened icici savings account in August 2024 online. During opening the account I received a sms about cibil hit by icici for personal loan which I never applied. I mailed icici pno. After multiple conversation with them through mail they gave me a SR No. and said the same will be processed by October 15, 2024.
After that I forgot about the issue. Resently when I checked my enquiry information of cibil, I found out that it's still there.
Can I now complain to RBIO after so many months?
Also can I ask for a compensation, and if I can how much. Any help is appreciated .Is there any scope for filing a complaint against Kotak at RBI ombudsman portal for KYC completion issues due to their mistake. Complaint filed with nodal officer over one month, still no solution. Received this response
