How to get HDFC Infinia?

I'm an Imperia account holder, having 40 lacs FD. I have Regalia First Visa and Tata Neu Infinity Rupay with credit limit 10 lacs, both cards LTF.
I have 11 lac CTC, in hand salary 77k monthly.
Is there any way I can get Infinia? Already talked to my RM, her head and Sales Manager of credit card department but all saying that they cannot convert my Regalia First to Infinia as LTF.

I was upgraded from DCB to Infinia Metal with FYF, for subsequent renewals the renewal fee shall be waived off if the spend is more than 5 Lacs in previous year. You may like to negotiate on similar lines based on your annual spends for renewal fee waiver.
Can you please elaborate more? Can we negotiate spends based waivers? How do we proceed with it? If this is the situation I'd be happy to upgrade my dcb to Infinia

We can easily upgrade dcb to infinia citing non acceptance. Just list the various merchants where it didn't work. Even if your limit is less they'll still upgrade because they know we can approach rbi for non acceptance of card. Someone said hdfc is closing all diners cards maybe because they are receiving too many mails regarding acceptance issues

I guess C2C works if you’re applying through a offline sales agent
c2c generally works via an offline agent only. Apart from banks like AUSF and IDFC. No offline agent will be able to get you an Infinia w/o an existing HDFC card. At max you can get a DCB through an executive via the alumni program but if you have not graduated from any of those institutes, then the max an agent will get you is a Regalia/Gold.

I had highlighted the same issue of non acceptance during my travel to the US. I had shared with HDFC the screenshots of non acceptance of DCB from most commonly used apps in US such as Uber/Lyft/Doordash/Grubhub. I did not specifically ask for an upgrade to Infinia but told them I would like have Visa/Mastercard instead of DCB. They offered to upgrade to FYF Infinia Metal with renewal fee waiver when spends exceed 5L, without any negotiation.

@yogeshbansal maybe you also need to go for a US trip to get infinia with renewal benefits at 5l 🤣

this was so easy mann how can I try thiss

Dropped last email to cc escalations, preferred banking, and looping RM. Have threatened them if they don't give infinia I'll have to close account and move to Axis for M4B.

Qns:
- If RM gets back with some lucrative investment options, what are they? Ofc, I won't buy ULIP. What is the deal breaker for FD amount?
- Should I opt for DCB as a secondary option, considering there is no way we can reach 5L pm net credit of salary
- What are the further ways to upgrade DCB to Infinia?

Share your details like salary, current card, limit, etc.
You can reach 5L pm net. Just need to do more leetcode 😉

Take DCB if running out of options,

It's easier to upgrade from DCB to Infinia than to get fresh Infinia or get upgrade from any other card, that's what I'm planning to do

All you need is good credit limit, (8L-10L) and good spends in last 6 months (>7.5L)

It looks like HDFC's customer care team politely declined the request.

So, plan B: I'll go for the Diners Club Black (DCB) card and aim for an upgrade later. 😏

Here's what I need some clarity on:
  1. Salary Slip Requirement: Should I submit 3 months of salary slips or is 2 months sufficient as I have only 2 months of net credit of 2.7L and before that it was 2.25L?
  2. Best Application Route for DCB: Is it better to apply through an agent or go directly online to get a higher credit limit, with an eye toward an Infinia upgrade down the line?
  3. Expected Credit Limit (CL): Ideally hoping for an 8L CL as a head start, but the agent I spoke with didn’t sound too optimistic. What’s typical for initial limits here?
  4. FYF Offer: The local agent mentioned a first-year-free (FYF) offer with a spend-based waiver—spend 1.5L within 90 days to waive the joining fee. Just wondering if this is a legit offer, even if I apply online?
For context, my new HDFC corporate salary account has a net credit of 2.7L. I've adjusted a few flexible benefit plans, so the incoming pay will be lower starting December.
