How to get HDFC Infinia?

I'm an Imperia account holder, having 40 lacs FD. I have Regalia First Visa and Tata Neu Infinity Rupay with credit limit 10 lacs, both cards LTF.
I have 11 lac CTC, in hand salary 77k monthly.
Is there any way I can get Infinia? Already talked to my RM, her head and Sales Manager of credit card department but all saying that they cannot convert my Regalia First to Infinia as LTF.

It looks like HDFC's customer care team politely declined the request.

So, plan B: I'll go for the Diners Club Black (DCB) card and aim for an upgrade later. 😏

Here's what I need some clarity on:
  1. Salary Slip Requirement: Should I submit 3 months of salary slips or is 2 months sufficient as I have only 2 months of net credit of 2.7L and before that it was 2.25L?
  2. Best Application Route for DCB: Is it better to apply through an agent or go directly online to get a higher credit limit, with an eye toward an Infinia upgrade down the line?
  3. Expected Credit Limit (CL): Ideally hoping for an 8L CL as a head start, but the agent I spoke with didn’t sound too optimistic. What’s typical for initial limits here?
  4. FYF Offer: The local agent mentioned a first-year-free (FYF) offer with a spend-based waiver—spend 1.5L within 90 days to waive the joining fee. Just wondering if this is a legit offer, even if I apply online?
For context, my new HDFC corporate salary account has a net credit of 2.7L. I've adjusted a few flexible benefit plans, so the incoming pay will be lower starting December.
I can comment on the last 2 points since I got DCB 2 months ago.

3- In most of the cases CL limit will be 5 lakhs.
4- Yes this offer is true. I have got it. Also you will receive joining benefits like vouchers on reaching 1.5L within 90 days.

If you are an alumni of any college in their list, ig the best way would be to apply through alumni program. Iirc they still offer fyf DCB.

4 - Did you apply online or via agent? What was your net salary credit?

I applied via Agent.

I have heard many stories that people applied for different card in online application and received something different. You can search in this forum.😁😁
So I avoided this route. I applied through agent (CC Regional Head) and next day I also received confirmation call regarding Card details and spend waiver for FYF. And moreover they also send you your application form on your mail.😃😃

If anyone is applying offline then it's obvious na that he is fulfilling all the criteria (including Salary requirements).😑😑

1 - send 2 months only for now, send anything else only if asked

2 - neither agent nor online application determine your crediy limit, it's decided by automated systems and people much higher

3 - i can concur with @sauravkumar ,initial limit will be 5L only, but you can always try for limit enhancement later on

4 - FYF offer or spend based fee reversal is quite common on HDFC cards whichever way you apply

I wanted to ask about this to understand the new salary-to-credit-limit (CL) ratio. Two months ago, the minimum salary requirement was 1.7L, which would result in a CL of 5L (3x the salary).

Now that the salary requirement has increased to 2.5L, I’m expecting the minimum CL limit to be around 7-8L!

I am not the expert here but what I have seen that for most of the HNI card there is a default floor limit which is 5 lakhs. Like ICICI Sapphiro, IDFC Wealth, DCB etc.
So my best guess will be you will also get 5 lakhs as CL.😀😀

And frankly saying you should be more concerned about getting the card rather than CL.
CL can be taken care later also.
But in HDFC first CC means a lot (Only I have seen in this bank)😄😄
