How to get iPhone 16 Pro In Best Price? - Query

If someone has purchased via smartbuy, they should share the full breakup. Would help to understand this better.
Planning to buy the 16 Pro 256GB at 1,29,900 in December via SmartBuy Imagine store.
I expect to pay exactly that much on the Infinia CC since there is no instant discount. The RPs I expect are -
4330 regular RPs at the rate of 1X (5 RPs/Rs 150)
15000 RPs at the bonus rate of 4X (20 RPs/Rs 150). Mathematically, it should be 17320 but 15000 is the maximum cap on SmartBuy bonus RPs per day and per month.
Total RPs is thus 19330.
I'll claim GST input tax credit as well. So, out of pocket cost will come down to 1,06,518.

Your calculation of reward points on infinia are right. I also bought a 16 pro 256 GB from Imagine via smartbuy. Though used DCB metal and had a capping of 10k accelerated reward points.

But I think if you are taking a proper GST invoice to claim inputs, then there are no reward points. Its considered a business invoice.

I have done this a couple of years ago for iPhone 13 and got both the reward points and GST input tax claim

You can get proper GST invoice from imagine store, to do so before purchase please contact imagine store to get GST added in your account for next purchase. This 100% works.

I am seeing a few videos on youtube, where some shops in Bur Dubai are selling 16 pro max for 1L flat with one year international warranty. (4350 AED). US version is cheaper by 2-3K than this price. Available in all colours. Although they might ask cash payment for it

Is this due to black Friday deals? If someone is in Dubai then it is probably the best time to buy iPhone

Below is how i got my iPhone 16 Pro max 256 GB from Singapore duty free
SGD -1742.20 - INR 1,13,085.62 Paid through Infinia got 1k cashback via GVP and 3765 points +FX Charge INR 2669
If you are transiting through Singapore like I did make sure to prebook from
The stock availability is low so make sure you turn on notification and place order as soon as its available

I know for a fact that Android phones bought abroad are a problem in India especially on GPay. I also had a bad experience with a Dubai-bought Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge years ago that would not work properly with Jio 4G and required me to use the Jio Dialer app instead of the default Phone app to make calls.

iPhones have global warranties, that I know. Has anyone come across any limitations of iPhones bought abroad and being used in India?

iPhone US version even though having worldwide warranty won't be able to repair/replace in INDIA as it is not similar to India Version (US without SIM slot).
Apple service center will take your phone and will return back without any work done on it. Similar issues with iPhone HongKong version which have 2 physical SIM card slot instead of 1 physical + 1 eSim as in India.
While iPhones are easier to repair outside but not 100% sure with genuine parts.

I am looking at iPhone 16 plus via the Infinia smartbuy option. It seems to be the best option considering I earn 14000 reward points plus the base points too and the current rate is also reduced to 87500.
Does anyone know a better deal?

Not right now. Offers may start appearing in Jan-Feb when Galaxy S24 series comes out.

One has to take a chance. 99% of the time, no issues come up in the first year. It's only around 1 lakh. So it’s worth taking a chance to save 15 to 20k upfront. Of course, 1 lakh can be a lot for some people but a person able to purchase a 1 lakh plus phone in cash should be reasonably well off.

Unfortunately I can't wait I broke my mum's phone so have to get a new one.
😯 Bro...Are u serious, you broke your mothers phone just for shitty iphone.....Just a suggestion as a elder brother...Pls do not pressurize your parents for iphone...Buy only if they happily buy it & afford it..70% iphone in India are bought on EMI....Pls understand, if your parents can't afford then do not buy

Rest is your choice...Its your money

I don’t know if this was sarcasm but I dropped the phone accidentally and so I am gifting her a new phone and no I am not purchasing it on EMI.
The previous phone was an old OnePlus for which they have stopped selling parts so can’t get an original screen replacement. I don’t have faith on how long the duplicate screen would last so post repairing that one replacing with a new one too.
