How to improve CIBIL beyond 807

I had CIBIL score of 820 when I took a car loan in 2019 which brought down my CIBIL straight to 798 (not sure why such a big drop). Canara Bank did make 2 hits by mistake and refused to remove it. They made the first hit for personal loan (LMAO) whereas I applied for car loan. Later when they realized they made another hit for car loan for same amount and even debited my account by Rs. 55 as charge for the same which again they refused to reverse.

I never missed any EMI and closed my 7 years loan in 2 years. But ever since then my CIBIL moves between 802 to 807. Never gone beyond 807 ever after that.

How can I improve it further. Any suggestions? Please help 🙂
 
So they essentially gave you the product on discount and that too in the form of loan? Where was that offer? Also the ballpark figure of the purchase?
1 EMI waived off in a no cost EMI? Please share the details...I'd like to apply
It was a festival offer Croma. While I don't remember the exact details, I purchased laptop, billing around 65k. 1 emi refunded back after 3 months. Approx 5500 INR as far as I remember.

It's a fantastic score. We are struggling to reach 800.

You've to file a suit against Canara bank in order to reach 820 now

You are right. I have raised an ombudsman complaint for the below issue asking compensation of 10L 😀 😀

Same Canara Bank gave 0.5% less ROI on 4 FDs auto renewed in Dec 2023. When complained to BM over phone, he asked me to visit branch with the certificates. On reaching branch he introduced me to a lady who takes care of term deposits. She took around 20-30 minutes to understand the issue. Then she asked me to call her after a week. When I called after 10 days, she had completely forgotten about the matter and asked me all the details all over again and then asked me to call another person after 2 hours. When I did, this person got irritated and told me he has received the details only couple of hours back, he doesn't have any update and that I shouldn't call him again instead I should call the lady responsible for this. After this for the next 2 days I kept calling the lady and the BM but none of them answered my call. I thought of calling from a different number, but then thought why should I? I found the Kolkata circle escalation details from the net and called up. The person gave me a mail id and asked me to send a detailed mail which I did immediately. To my complete surprise, even this person stopped answering my calls post receiving my mail. So, I finally wrote to head office complaints department. They forwarded the mail to the branch and then branch replied asking me to visit branch again and submit a request letter. I wrote back saying I have already visited the branch and met branch manager, it is not possible for me to come again. To my surprise that same evening 2 executives came to my home (without prior intimation) and took photos of the certificates, but I refused to give any request letter and said I can only give complaint letter which they declined to take. After 2-3 days the BM called me and asked for 2 days time to resolve it but I didn't hear back from him again. So again I complained to head office mail id, and this time even HO didn't respond. So, after following up for another week I registered a complaint with the ombudsman and asked for compensation of 10L for harassment and mental agony. Let's see what happens.

I hope you get justice as well as some compensation too ...
You should have directly complained in the RBI Ombudsman after 2-3 follow ups...

This complaint is not for CIBIL enquiry. It is for the less ROI given on FDs which amounts to a loss of approx 20K.

Ek CIBIL enquiry hathane ke liye itna sab karneka time kiske pass hai? Aur isibaat ka advantage leta hai yeh bankwale.

You should have closed all the FDs then & there.
 
And book a loss? It is my right to get the correct interest rate and will also take a compensation (may not be 10L but will definitely take something)
I assume you were communicated the ROI at the time of renewal,so it could not cause you any loss st all, infact you could have made more switching/transferring it to banks like indusind/AU which gives much better interest rates.
If skeptical keep 5l(which is insured) with one bank.
