There won't be any additional charges from HDFC side but I don't know if Infinia is giving 3.33% on insurance category or not. Because last year I paid through Millennia and I got 1% on that.Hi Folks, I have a HDFC Ergo health insurance renewal pending and I was looking for information regarding credit card payment. If I pay through my hdfc infinia card, will there be any additional charges from hdfc ergo side? And will I get 3.33% (5 RP for 150 rs) rewards for this payment?

Hey Man, I was going through different threads in the afternoon today to understand how I can earn points etc. if i need to renew using hdfc ergo website (Tata Neu wasn't working), and then came across your message. While some folks did mention this route to be not working, I thought of taking the chance. And man it worked like a charm. I was able to use amazon pay through bill desk (shows paytm/phonepe logo when you select wallet, all you need to do is search amazon pay in the tab. And then, I quickly bought gift vouchers and paid my premium of Rs 45031. Amazing and thanks again 🙂I recently paid HDFC Ergo via APay Balance route.
On their renewal website, select "BillDesk" PG, and from there, go to Wallets section. Apay isnt listed, but select the drop down and apay is there. Used that to pay using Apay balance. Make sure there's enough, otherwise it will prompt you to use apay upi

Exactly, the whole point of uisng the website for me was also because I wanted to increase my cover. Can't believe still, that I was able to do this, use Amazon Pay and hit my amex Travel milestone also 😃Not sure, if it's the same site then yes. I remember using apay icici to pay though. Although I dont think billdesk was there back then. Was 2 years back, so dont recall. Try it out and report back! 😉
btw, you can go to apay section in amazon app, and pay via "insurance renewal" section, but that has convenience charges added of 1%, so the above route is better as there is no convenience charge. Also, you cant modify your policy or increase cover if you go via amazon route, so use the official link is better.
I think the problem is that the UX to actually select the apay route is convoluted and a little hard to find, for most users. Happy to hear it still works! I renewed for 2 years in one shot so this is a problem I dont need to think about for a long time. While some folks did mention this route to be not working, I thought of taking the chance.
