How to upgrade HDFC easyshop Debit card to platinum?

Hi All,

I want to upgrade my HDFC debit card to Platinum version.

Is there any way to get it for free (LTF) without any annual charges.

I have classic banking and my account shows that the platinum card is available for 750. (No mention if it is a yearly or one time fee)
I enquired with my RM yesterday and I was told that it can be got free if I upgrade to Preferred Banking whih requires maintenance of 2L AMB.
They will apparently call if the AMB falls below 2L below which the card will be chargeable.

This is my experience. I don't know if the RM was right or if she just wanted me to take the Preferred Banking upgrade.

The card shown in the above link looks different (though this may change frequently)
But the word 'Platinum' is quite prominent on that card.

Search for this on the page you liked and you will find it "Cashback points on Platinum Debit Card"

Credit card bill payment falls under Telecom / Utiltities?
Yes but it must be paid via debit card

Do you meet the eligibility requirements for Classic Banking
If yes, you will get the Platinum card on an LTF basis

An alternate way to get it as LTF is to open a Savings Max account

LTF is offered with:
a) Salary Account with limited companies which have tied up with HDFC.
b) Saving Max Account (25k MAB).
c) If your account is under Family Banking and Primary Customer is holding a Saving Max account.
Where is this info of point (c) mentioned?? I think the Primary Customer should atleast have Classic Banking for this to happen
