Infinia How to upgrade while keeping Millennia Cc

saidso

TF Buzz
I have millennia LTF. Currently I have recieved upgrade option from hdfc for HDFC privilege card paid version. I don't want this card but I learned that if my aim is infinia I need to go through the card upgrade options one cc at a time. Is there a way to upgrade while keeping the milennia active?
Also what does this upgrade mean. Offering a paid credit card to a holder of ltf card? How come?

Upgrades are usually FYF, not LTF. If your spends are great in past 6-8 months and you have a good cc limit, then send an email to L4 and request for the Regalia Gold FYF.

Regalia Gold > Diners Privilege.

Nope

Refer first paragraph.

OK. And cashback wise millennia is still better than ragalia gold right?

What is L4?

Millennia is cashback card, regalia gold is more of a travel based card. Decent card if you often travel or stay in hotel etc.

If your spends are just casual on amazon/flipkart and using gv on amazon etc then millennia is still better.

Looks like you need to figure out your spends first.

What is L4?
Level 4 of customer care, don't waste your time on level 1 or level 2.

Try to get cobranded card like Neu or Paytm HDFC. Then ask customer care to upgrade that card to a core card. Sometimes, rarely they agree and people end up with 2 core cards. One of them you can keep on Millennia. But you will need income docs etc.

Note that this is not a surefire way to get 2 core cards, one of them always Millennia but for a few people it has worked. Usually HDFC are strict about issuing a single core card. If you don't have many other cobranded cards, chances of getting 2 core are higher (by getting 1 cobranded and upgrading it to core)
