HSBC Enters the Game – Accelerated Rewards Travel Portal Now Live!

Yes, even I missed it but my card got approved and delivered.
That's good to hear. Hopefully will get it in soon- it's been 5 days now. Have couple of lakhs in flights and hotels bookings to do between this and Atlas in the coming week.

Folks, if you’re planning to apply for HSBC Premier, I’d recommend waiting until 8th October. Some added benefits (for the Premier card, and possibly others) will be announced then. One change is the joining benefit (most probably) of 12K reward points instead of a 12K Taj voucher which is a great upgrade.

Great news. where did you get this information?

Please contact Customer Care via chat for an update on the status.
Thank you! I registered with PAN and OTP on the mobile app and was able to use the digital code to logon to net banking and talk to chat support. Interestingly net banking showed a dormant Travel One card when I was there. Anyway chat agent told to wait for card delivery and that it was approved.

i just got a premier cc last week..!
12k points instead of taj voucher would be gr8 but thats ok,, any other benefits u aware coming soon..?

Recently got the premier card. Was happy that they started the booking platform like hdfc
Just wanted to check their pricing by comparing with smart buy HDFC. While people criticise HDFC that their portal is not competitive, it seems hopper is worse

IMG_9708.webp IMG_9710.webp HDFC came to 25086

For the same trip with the same carrier, HSBC quoted 25713

Is it not much of a useful one?

25000 vs 25713 ,not much of a difference buddy specially considering if they have even the basci travel one they would get around 20% back so roughly 5k

So if the trv goes up from 40l lakhs what would happen to people who already have the card with 40 lakhs trv? Will they be charged extra?
yes, they will need that. money to maintain relationship by next card renewal year, otherwise they will have to pay the cc annual fees...

Doesn't make sense already losing 16k for on mutual fund and funds being blocked for me .plus a lot of cappings on ticket bookings ,will have to get something else next year.

For me, I anyway have a Lien on my Mutual Funds for a Credit Line so I don't mind the lock-in on my mutual funds... I guess so for people like that, this would make sense to move to HSBC since it's just for holding....

HSBC Travel one prices are very high ... so not much benefit of hsbc premier cc
I don't have the card yet, I guess festival season is delaying card printing and delivery. Can access the portal via app though. Prices are very high for some itineraries compared to direct or OTA bookings while some are close to Smartbuy prices. It might make sense to even book via OTA with ~10% card discount + 2x RPs instead of 8x through the portal.

I still am not clear which booking comes under best price guarantee. Read somewhere only certain cherry picked fares are eligible but haven't been able to figure out which ones they are.

Saw many Posts on twitter where best price guarantee has been honored, if within 24 hrs u send pic of a cheaper fare elsewhere they refund difference in terms of points..also upto 1 week if price drops they refund in terms of points upto 1500.
