HSBC Live+ Cashback Card 10%, 1.5%, 0% Offer Fullfilment Sheet - MCC

noidea

TF Select
Inspired by SBI Cashback Card Sheet and Swiggy HDFC MCC Code website, I went ahead and started a HSBC Live+ Cashback Card sheet.

By default, most Swiggy 5% and SBI 5% cashback merchants in grocery would qualify for HSBC Live+, however I would only request you to add those which you have actually transacted for.

One USP of this is to also see which Grocery and Dining merchants (offline) use correct MCCs to credit 10% Cashback.

Sheet here: HSBC Live+ Cashback Card Sheet

I want to know whether the MERCHANT changing the MCC code deliberately or it is assigned by mistake :thinking-face:

assigned only. once assigned they can't change it. but assign part its upto the vendor and provider.

this is the reason those fuel cards become useless due to frequent changes in their POS machines, which not updated to banks.

Ex: there is an apparel store which also sells jewelry in separate sections, so on paper Paytm/RazorPay etc. provide POS machines and assigned one for apparel MCC and another for Jewelry MCC. Till now, no issues and all good as long as those two POS machines placed at respective billing sections but unfortunately, humans can't wait if things didn't work as expected, so they may swap the POS machines for temporarily billing purpose and again as humans tend to forgot to place the things as they were previously, so ultimately now.. apparel section may have Jewelry POS and Jewelry may have new POS or if fixed old apparel MCC. They may not know which one belongs to which section.
